Thread: Iraq/Dinar News. 09/05 to 01/14/07

I am sure that you all no this by now but this was the email that I got from freedinar.
Dear Ompus / FreeDinar members and customers,



Last night at around midnight Arizona time, the website for the Central Bank of Iraq went down. They normally post the daily exchange rates at 2:30 am (again, AZ time). However, when 2:30 came and went, with the site still being down it made us wonder. After our local “geek” did some investigating we found that the site was not down due to circumstances such as weather, or bad connections. It was taken down by someone at the CBI.



For this reason, along with all the recent news good economic news (Foreign Investment Law passed, the Hydrocarbon Law being voted on, the 10K Dinars being distributed to their citizens, and much, much more) we have decided to suspend sales immediately.



We have taken our entire inventory off the site, and any checks that come in after this announcement, or that haven’t been cashed will be placed on hold.



Because of the fact that NOBODY can get the current exchange rate of the Dinar, I would assume that there are no dealers currently selling Dinar.



If and when CBI posts the rates, and if they are new (like we have all been waiting for) we will send out a new email, and depending on what the rate is, we will either be selling Dinar, buying Dinar, or retiring from the business!



Of course we hope the latter, and we also hope that many of you will also be able to retire or at least live your dreams.



We also hope that many of you will not forget the men and woman that have fought for us and Iraq and have given the ultimate sacrifice. I know many charity’s here in Phoenix that will be having a very good year, if this all works out the way we hope.

It sounds like they might have a felling about the reval.

I think everybody is off trying to dig up the missing parts of this intriguing puzzle from the limited news that is available . . .

Hey RR, do think that if we took up a collection for a bullhorn to save Indara's voice and to pay for the phone call, do you think she could get us an answer from her family?lol

Just show's how farback everyone is, still reading the closed thread. Remember there was 200 plus post there today. One of the next ones in this thread will have a r/v attached to it.

yeh... but sure is exhausting sifting thru the tons to find things related to the puzzle... takes pages to catch up on 1-2 hrs...my brain is tryin to keep up... hope even tho Nenos goin to give alittle more slack everyone will try to keep focussed or head over to the crazy place... ez:)

Just a little note then i confirm then tomorow another meeting will be held by the worldbank with the iraqi gov etc etc....I will try to find again this news :))
