Great response all! When this baby hits we'll start a thread of getting a list of names together and dates etc for when to meet up. Be great to put names to faces. :0) I'm sure Mike would agree in that I'm more than happy to research this and give you updates and opinions etc. I/We'd get great pleasure and enjoyment out of knowing a lot of you will be a lot wealthier. :0) And as Mike said, be happy to then discuss future investments whilst partying the night away in Portugal!!
Anyway, back to it as we're not quite there yet.....good news though, with the formation of the government within the next few days it's just another obstacle to mark off. One of the biggest ones at that! My take is still by the end of June we'll be celebrating.
How does August sound for hols and lols everyone?!
Iraq govt takes shape amid more violence
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's new government is finally taking shape and could be unveiled this week, negotiators said on Tuesday, signalling a compromise among sectarian and ethnic factions to rally behind Shi'ite strongman Nuri al-Maliki.
"The government is in its final form now. Maliki will absolutely meet the constitutional deadline and will announce the government before it," said Dhafir al-Ani, spokesman of the main Sunni bloc in parliament, the Iraqi Accordance Front.
Senior negotiators from most groups involved in efforts to form a national unity government told Reuters Maliki could name his cabinet as early as Thursday, before the Muslim weekend and four days ahead of a constitutional deadline set a month ago.
A senior Shi'ite negotiator said: "The government will be ready soon ... I mean probably in the next 48 hours."

New government make-up almost done -- Al-Malki
BAGHDAD, May 16 (KUNA) -- Iraq's prime minister designate Nouri Al-Malki announced on Tuesday that the new government make-up is almost finished saying that the portfolios of the Interior and Defense would be given to national qualifiers from outside the political polarization.

Thanks Mike and Adster!
But I like Adster's rumours more!
However, 30 or 40 cents is good also!
I "only" have one million so I won't be able to live rich all my life...but I WOULD be able to finally build on to my house!(I have the blue-prints, the building permit, everything...except money! And the bank refuses me more loans... ) And then, when that is done, most of the money would be gone... UNLESS, of course, it pegs really high!
If I dared, I would take a smaller loan and buy more dinars. But I already loaned (from my parents) to be able to buy the ones I have...and EVERY time I take loans to invest, the investment fails - so I better not!
But one person here in Sweden (who is usually good at "pin-pointing things) thinks it will peg at 0.03 Swedish cents... (can't do the math...but one USD is about 7 SEK (Swedish Krona, and each SEK has 100 "cents")...which is VERY little...

Once the dinar is convertible and hence exchangeable internationally how can Iraq trade and import goods if their currency is again worth sweet fa? They just can't do it.
Why IMO the dinar has to go back to at least what the Kurds had it valued at 3 years ago, ie .32 to the dollar. Anything lower would be an inuslt to them as they have made so many concessions. Why? Because they knew 3 years ago that one day the dinar would be valued a lot higher than that and they'd be rewarded for their patience. The people of Iraq are owed bigtime as are the UD, UK and other countries that have invested heavily and forgiven billions of dollars of debt. That's why I believe in a vault within the CBI this thing is already signed and done and dusted. Just got to get them to get the blasted thing out, lol.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

All right dear Adster and O-S-W (Mike and Adam), if the peg goes at .32 to the dollar...and you have 1 million dinar(s)...then would it be worth $320 000? Am I figuring this right? (fingers, toes, and EVERYTHING in between crossed!)
I swear! I'm like a junky with this forum! It seems like everytime I'm in here I just want to BUY MORE!!! lol! "My name is Tiffany, and I'm a Dinar-a-holic!" lol!
( I also like the .70 rumor! lol!)
Face hurts from smilin'!

Nice one Tiff and Becks,
Mrs A will be a villaholic when this baby hits! a Portuguese one at that and in between it'll be the shopaholic bit, lol.
As for me, well it's been 2 weeks since I last bought a dinar, it's been hard not buying daily but I'm in remission, plus the old credit card can't take it any more!
Just been reading there are various 'big' meetings coming up in the next 2 weeks. Good news.
Keep smiling all.
