As we have all seen, there has been more meetings, more progress, more news during holiday than in the previous three months, so it sure looks positive to me using logics once again. (g)

Also, whenever Maliki is quoted as saying something relative to not being controlled by U.S., you can bet on the fact he is. He was given the word to Shiite or get off the pot, this we know, but he also has to placate the many sectarian leaders not to look so obvious, as he has to earn their respect as well. I wouldn't want to be Maliki if he disappoints either side.

This is a very delicate situation he is in, so he has to talk out of both sides of his mouth just like ALL politicians do. He has learned quickly the about democracy, so this is good, so don't expect him to kiss a$$ openly with either power base, he is a hehind closed door a$$ kisser. (g)

I don't know about that . . . I think GW probably LOVES to hear "The Iraqi government is a national unity government that has not come to power on the back of a tank or was installed by anyone" Pres. Bush WANTS Maliki to take charge - It's the dems and the drive by media that keep telling us that this is a propped up Government, etc. Maliki is sayiing EXACTLY what GW wants to hear.

why is nobody replying to the poster that said, iraqis have smiles on there faces with blue cards?

I was watching kurd sat, and it was showing smiling people in a grocery store and they were interviewing them, and they interviewed the clerk and he showed a blue plastic card about the size of a credit card.

I'm still looking for to see if it is true. I got an email from an Iraqi this morning that said they had not gotten their 10,000 dinar and didn't know when they would be getting it. BUT the iraq tv has clips of a grocery story with the blue card.
