I believe you are right, although I can't verify. I've never had to register a .gov domain, so having never been through that process, I can't say anything definitive. But as best as I can tell, .gov is a US Government-ONLY TLD (Top-Level Domain). There is no .gov for anyone else in the world, that I am aware of.

Someone please tell me if I'm wrong. Again, I have no experience in the .gov TLD's, so I very well could be wrong.

EDIT: Verification with Wikipedia (List of Internet top-level domains - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) does indeed state that .gov TLD's are for the US only. *Whew* was hoping I wasn't wrong on that one.

We know that they are/were implementing the ACH and Gross Systems. Maybe it is done or not.

But I could also remember an article mentioned by Charmed I believe that stated that they were connection to 80 global networks? I am not certain of this one, because I saw it quickly passing.

A website down for days of the Central bank of Iraq isn't an update for a smaller denomination image. No, this has to be big.

There are others that tried to get exchange rates from banks and they tell them they don't have an exchange rate at the moment....???

Banks are closed for several days or 10 days.

I think it they are implementing the systems internally between the banks and CBI and connection the CBI to all the global networks. This could be a reason why some banks don't have an rate at the moment, because connecting to 80 networks isn't done in one time.

Then they are ready at november 1st with all the systems and they are connected to the whole world.

If this is the case we will see the FIL implemented also (exactly the 1 month as said by Warka), the HCL will be enacted also and they can start trading Internationally with the new exchange rate which we will see before or on the 1st of november.

I think this is how they are playing it!

Right here goes about the halifax problem my bro had made a mistake and went to a halifax agent we get them in estate agents and other silly places anyway she did not know what she was on about as all she did was ring her member of staff at home on her day off ummm (what ever)

anyway my bro placed a order on line he asked for 100k but at 5 pm today uk time a women from halifax rang my bro and said he cant order 100 million dinar through them in one transaction on line but he was only meant to order 100k anyway they let him have the 100k but not 100 million he made a mistake anyway my bro started to chat more with the bank about the dinar..all she said was we have not got a up to date rate for the dinar so as of midnight tonight they will not deal in dinar until there is a valid exchange rate..my bro asked were do they get there exchange rate from,they normally have it controlled by the country the money is from to start with but we are also governed by the bank of england and so on..she did say that there has been no rate from iraq since sunday gone and they were wondering if the country hold fallen, but she said the have brought some dinar and use forums to chat with other dinar investers so if she is a member on here and u work for halifax say hi and tell us more

CAUSE I KNOW U KNOW MORE THAN UR LETTING ON

He will get his dinar monday after all but only 100k

But the biggy is this:
By getting thier economy into an electrionic era, they can track were the money is and who is spending it on what. Say for IED's or support of a millitia etc.

Iraq: Credit Cards And ATM On The Way

The Trade Bank of Iraq on Tuesday issued the country's first credit and debit cards, from Visa International Inc., at a ceremony in Baghdad.
Visa cards were given to cabinet ministers, government officials and financial professionals, the bank said. Bank Chairman Hussein al-Uzri presented the first card to Adel Abdul Mehdi, one of two vice presidents and a former finance minister.
The bank said it would issue 30,000 Visa cards in Iraq by the end of the year. The company also plans to install the country's first network of automated teller machines, which would enable cardholders to withdraw Iraqi dinars or U.S. dollars from their accounts.

The Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) has announced that the first automatic teller machine (ATM) in Iraq is now available for the public.

The ATM is located at the TBI head office in central Baghdad.

The ATM is linked to the worldwide VISA network and allows customers to draw out cash in Iraqi dinars or U.S. dollars.

TBI Manager for Acquiring & ATM Essa M. Amireh said: "We are very happy to be the first financial institution to bring ATM service to the Iraqi people. This is another first for TBI. We continue to be the most modern and innovative bank in Iraq."

TBI plans to establish a countrywide network of ATMs

That's what I was talking to my husband about a couple of days ago, WHY would a bank have a www.gov site instead of there own, every bank here in the us have their OWN web site, you don't go to a gov site to get to a bank site. Example www.chase,,, www.bankone,,,www.ny.frb--for federal reserve bank
so I believe we can lay this one down to rest.
but who knows i could be wrong
