I will personally supply Adam with a lifetime supply of "Sominex" or equivalent sleep aid if his contact's predictions come true! However, I doubt he would use them; there would be too much to do with all the "new-found" wealth! I'll buy the first round of drinks, at least!

Did something good happen the the Dinar lately? I haven't been to this forum lately to check it out, honestly I almost forgot that I had purchased some Dinar.
Someone please bring me up to speed.

    Thanks,

    Zugdor,
Just read the last couple of pages of this thread, then you will know pretty much what the rest of us do. It looks pretty close to party time.

The formation of the gov't is a confidence card that had to be played before the release of the RV. When Talabani assumed the Presidency in April everything except a few minor crossing of "t"s and dotting of "i"s are done. If Maliki can keep this balancing act together long enough for it to become official, then you will undoubtedly see the dinar globally convertible in June. A revaluation should accompany the convertibility in the neighborhood of 1:1 (nothing new from me ). After or in conjunction with the revaluation the ISX should be opened to foreign investment paving the way for the influx of foreign currency which will hedge Iraqs revalue against the initial speculators...at this point timing is everything. This is now and always has been a political chess match. One thing to look for is a possible (I SAID POSSIBLE) hold on foreign currency exchanges, if this happens (I SAID IF) speculators may have to wait until the end of June to cash in...this week will be an interesting one but I am anxiously awaiting June 18th.
    Thanks Adam,

That even got me excited, one for one sounds good to me. (g) We could sure have one heck of a blast in Portugal with that high of a peg. Politics, you got to love it, or hate it. LOL When you look at the loss of life statistics, you really do see through all the crap that we have been delt in major media. They should all be ashamed of distorting the truth, but then again, it is always about money, and bad news sells, good news doesn't.

    Good luck to all, Mike

I agree with you Mike, bad news sells, but I also think it is about what our goverment wants us to see. They don't want us to see it getting better, because that would be cause for them to withdraw troops, and the pres. sure doesn't want to do that. I hate screaming cover up, but sometimes you gotta call 'em as you see 'em.

And of course as our friend above said.

BAGHDAD (AFX) - Iraqi prime minister designate Nuri al-Maliki will present his cabinet line-up for parliamentary approval on Saturday, deputy parliamentary speaker Sheikh Khalid al-Attiya said.

'The prime minister will present a new government to parliament for approval at 11 am (0700 GMT) on Saturday,' Attiya, a Shiite MP from the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, told Agence France-Presse.

Shiites, Sunni Arabs and Kurds have been squabbling over the formation of a national unity government since the election in December for the first permanent parliament of the post-Saddam Hussein era -- leaving a political vacuum that has seen violence soar.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

    Talking

    Adster!

Are you kidding me?!?! 1:1?!?! I damn near choked on my cereal when I read that! LOL!!!

SO! If I'm reading your post correctly, your source believes the magic date to be June 18th...with a remote possibility of a temp hold on trading for approx. a week? So that would mean we would be able to trade our dinars in at that time, right?

O.K. Who wants to volunteer to fly into N.Y. to come with me to exchange my dinars and keep me from having some sort of breakdown during the process? LOL! Then we can swing by the Sheriff's Department and surprise my hubby with the news! ;-) Remind me to bring my camera because the expression on his face is gonna be Priceless! lol!

I'm about ready to crawl-right-outta-my-skin at this point guys!!!
    Tiff :-)

    Tiff,
Would love to come to NY to help you, as I am not that far away in MI, but will be doing my own surprise on my husband! But definitely take your camera, and I will take mine, and when we meet we can swap "surprised hubby faces" pictures. It'll be a hoot!

    Tiff,

Not sure he's saying that's the reval date only that he's waiting to hear something then. There's a general feeling we'll be there by the end of June. I feel we need this government formulated by the weekend, if there are any last minute hitches, and knowing Iraq it's highly likely! then that will delay the reval. Next 4 days will give us a better idea.

Whatever though, you'll be dropping in soon enough on hubby with a large check in your hand to show him, lol.
