So this is what I've been thinking about....

In the past, I've wired money, sent a heads up and a couple of days later I get confirmation and a balance. I've sent a stock purchase request the next day they let me know they'll handle it next session and the day after the session I get the results and the resulting balance of my account.

THIS TIME--I emailed a stock request at about 8pm est (sunday 15 oct), got a response 5am EST (monday 16 oct--8hours!)...and then nothing. I had to email them to ask about the balance, etc--emailed two people Issa, and Marian Gorgees....the latter sent me a form response, and the former sent me the response I posted, about being in Beruit on holiday....

So. My point is this: What exactly is going on here?? Issa is going to be out of town for a few days...is he the ONLY PERSON at Warka who can give out an account balance? Is everyone else on vacation as well? The CBI website is closed down...is that why Warka seems to be so reluctant to give out account balances? As I pointed out earlier a reval will not effect the balance of my dinar account, only the worth of those dinars in dollars....

I would have to say SOMETHING is going on--not quite a brilliant deduction, I know, but to say the site is just down, it's nothing doesn't really cut it either.

Comments, anyone??

When I received my stock order conformation on Sunday they sent a incorrect balance of

then the next day, with no prompting they sent my correct balance of

The numbers just seem to strange for a typo, I mean, I could see the accidental addition of a couple of numbers but to be that different is strange.

There is just no way Iraq fails. Everywhere you look some country is just standing in line with bucket in hand waiting for their turn at Iraq's oil faucet. Iraq's resources are so strategic so abundant, to turn away from her would be like kicking a chair out from under your economic feet with the hangman's noose around your neck.

Hey Neno - COME ON DOWN. I live on the Sunshine Coast very near Australia Zoo and i gurantee you and your daughter will have a most wonderful day. Lots of other great things to do here also. Just remember summer is very hot.

hey neno, im headed over too but you will probably be gone by the time i get there. i wanted to make sure and spend part of my winter over there. i got lots of friends there also since i used to work and live in lane cove, suburb of sydney.

i also want to buy some wheelchairs for the prince alfred hospital as they were seriously short of them, 1 per floor, when i was in the coma and subsequent recovery there.

BAGHDAD — Iraq has a new navy port.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has constructed a Forward Operating Base at the port of Umm Qasr. Officials said the project cost $3.26 million and would help Iraqis secure waterways and generate stability, Middle East Newsline reported.

"Stability is something that Iraq is trying very hard to accomplish," Col. Gary Johnston, commander of Corps of Engineers in the southern Gulf region, said. "They won't be able to do that unless they have all the elements in place."

Officials said the Umm Qasr facility would provide the Iraqi Coast Guard with a secure forward operating base along the Khor Az Zubair waterway. They said the base would be used to help fight oil smugglers, a major drain on the economy.

"If the smugglers know that Iraq is serious and has the resources to confront them, maybe it will make them move their operations elsewhere or consider a new line of work," Johnston said.

Umm Qasr contains boat and vehicle hardstands, boat ramp, a pier with floating dock, perimeter fencing, a fuel point and a power supply facility. Johnston said at a later stage the base would enhance electrical service, water supply, communications, additional ship mooring and maintenance.
