This is not a popularity contest. This is not an issue of wanting to equate this forum to that of a High School Prom King/Queen voting contest. Everyone should decide for themselves if they find information shared by others to be credible or not. I'll be honest with you, and everyone else right now, I have found several posts to lack credibility with me, and that is a choice I have made on my own. No one knew that until now (but they don't know what posts I'm referring to), and you know why? Because I will, under no circumstances, act as a censor for the forum. If others choose to believe a post, that is their decision.

So in the end, please understand that everyone holds different opinions. I respect your opinion to believe that certain statements made in the recent past are something you feel amounts to BS. But please, let's make this a two-way street. If I choose to find credibility in those same statements, that should also be respected by those who disagree. I hope we can finally move away from this topic, and continue on. All I ask is that no one act as a censor for me. I am an adult, and I think I should be allowed to decide for myself what is BS, and what isn't.

Again, absolutely no disrespect intended. If you felt I was being disrespectful, I do apologize.

Very, very classy webguy. Great post, and I agree with you 100%. I am old enough to make my own decisions, I don't need someone to make them for me. And I respect the fact that others may come to a differing opinion than mine, but that is their right.

let's say there IS a news thread and a sister "discussion" thread. I post a news article in the news thread and then I go post that same article in the "discussion" thread. Members begin to respond and we are back in the same situation we are at now due to the language barrier.

Another scenario would be the "news only" person reads the article in the "news only" thread and forgets he/she is in the "news only" thread and posts a clarifying question within the "news only" thread and prompts responses to be posted in that thread thus defeating the purpose of the thread.

Yes, I think it's impossible to do it that way. Nobody would find anything any more! I know that there are many people over here who would like to have the news only and draw their own personal conclusions based on fact. But you know our moderators have tried to separate the threads, and they have given in because the majority just does not want it that way! I for one love the so-called "BS", I love to have all the speculations, opinions, rumours and so on (though NOT the bashing...)! They make this forum such an interesting and vivid place, where I spend many hours a day reading (and sometimes posting). And apart from getting the mere facts I learn a lot about psychology also - and those of you that post regularly have become almost as near (and dear) to me as if I knew you personally.

Still I can understand winner's frustration - I just don't think there's a solution for him! That's democracy - the majority decides!
