    TY Susie, great work!

2005 oct 13,14,15,16 thurs fri sat sun

this was early in Ramadan: Oct 5 2005 Ramadan begins (Islamic)

Far away from EID: Nov 4 2005 Eid-al-Fitr (Islamic)

So it seems IMO that these are not related because of Ramadan, or their relation to EID.

Looking at it again it could be 2 words 'Aatar Yazzmen'. I googled that but nothing came up. Have not tried anywhere else. Just a thought.

Yes, it is two words! That is about all I know..............

The UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, is visiting Iraq to have talks about the lack of progress regarding democracy.

At the same time the US have become more outspoken about the slow progress saying that ( paraphrase todays radio news broadcast ) ¨no more US lives can be given & no more limbs lost if the Iraqi government don't start to make significant progress. Iraq have to want Democracy as much as we want them to have it¨

i agree, there must be some other reasoning. i went back and referenced the articles around that time and it was during the constitutional referendum and voting etc.

The official said Japan's Trade Minister Akira Amari told Iraqi Oil Minister Hussain Al Shahristani that Japan may extend the loan when the two met for talks.Reuters

    interesting, don't you think?

Pope Asks Leaders To Help Iraq Reconstruction

    POSTED: 6:35 pm EDT October 22, 2006

VATICAN CITY -- Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday appealed to political and religious leaders worldwide to help Iraq in its reconstruction, and he expressed solidarity with the Christian community and all victims of the violence in the conflict-ridden country.

In his Sunday prayer in St. Peter's Square, Benedict also sent his "cordial greetings" to Muslims, who are celebrating the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, and wished them "serenity and peace."

The pope expressed worry for the "news coming out of Iraq on the very grave situation of insecurity and brutal violence to which many innocent people are subjected only because (they are) Shiites, Sunnis or Christians."

Benedict appealed to "the religious leaders, the political leaders, both local and of the world, to support those people on the path to reconstructing their homeland, in the search of a shared balance, in mutual respect, in the awareness that the plurality of its components is an integral part of its wealth."

"I perceive the great worry that runs through the Christian community and I intend to assure that I am close to it, as I am to all victims, and for all I call for strength and consolation," the pope said.

Christians make up just 3 percent of Iraq's 26 million people. The major Christian groups include Chaldean-Assyrians and Armenians, with small numbers of Roman Catholics.

More than 35,000 Iraqi Christians have fled to neighboring Syria to escape the violence in Iraq, according to Emmanuel Khoshaba, the Syrian head of the Assyrian and Democratic Movement.

Thousands more are believed to have sought refuge in Europe, the United States and other Arab countries.

Benedict has been calling for dialogue between Christianity and Islam.

He has stepped up that call lately after coming under siege from Muslim protests over a quotation from a Medieval Byzantine emperor about Islam and violence. The remarks came during a Sept. 12 speech about faith and reason at a university in Germany.

Benedict has said his words were misunderstood and he was sorry that Muslims were offended.

On Friday, the Vatican released its annual Ramadan message and called on Muslims to join Catholics in working to defeat terrorism.
