I agree with you, to a certain extent. What I mean is, I agree that there are plenty of hurdles, but I do not believe that necessarily means we're in for a long wait. I don't think security is the hurdle that some claim it to be. I personally believe that the hurdles that exist are themselves. This is primarily their call to make. It will happen a lot quicker when they put all their abilities to task. I believe they have been doing that, as one might be able to glean from the good news being reported on... But I believe they still have hurdles to overcome. If they can overcome themselves (I don't know if I'd call it a classic case of "Fear of Success", but it does have a certain flavor of that in play, IMO), then they'll finally be able to show us what a lot of us on here have been seeing for months.

This could be it!!!!!!!!!
Could this be part of the October surprise!!!!!!!!??????????????
The outcome of a White House meeting Saturday among Bush and his top security and military officials could become clearer early next week when Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, and Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, are scheduled to conduct an unusual joint news conference in Baghdad.
The Bush administration took issue with a report in The New York Times on Sunday that said Casey and Khalilzad were working on a plan that would outline milestones for disarming militias and meeting other political and economic goals.

i for one wish it would hurry up and revel.....but,that being said,i don't think they will or can revel until they[the Iraqi government along with their army and police]show that they can at least curb the violence....it seems as long as the coalition forces r there that they refuse to be responsible for the cleanup....the Iraqi government needs to step up and take care of the violence....not use the coalition troops as their crutch...which is whats happening there now....and as slow as these people move it might well go into 2007 b4 we see a revel......funny thing is that it would seem that the sooner they revel the sooner some of this violence might stop and their people start prospering.....IMHO....Pat....GO DINARS

US in secret truce talks with insurgency chiefs
AMERICAN officials held secret talks with leaders of the Iraqi insurgency last week after admitting that their two-month clampdown on violence in Baghdad had failed.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/articl...2415692,00.htmlZubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.
