The sale price of the dinar against the dollar in an auction today, Sunday, the Central Bank. The sale price Aldlar 1473 dinars to the dollar after the price at the auction last Thursday 1470 dinars to the dollar. Sales soared and the Central Bank of the dollar to reach 50 million and 220 thousand dollars after the auction last Thursday, 45 million and 915 thousand dollars. The number of banks participating in the auction today of the 11 banks after the 12 banks in an auction Thursday.

Therefore, I have many contacts who keep me posted who are on the ground in Iraq. If you notice, I have never posted a rumor, but have blasted them when I know differently. Not saying that I know it all, just that I take extreme pride in truthfulness & honesty.

I am heavily invested as many and cannot wait for the IQD to takes it's place on the world stage! However, there are still many hurdles to come before it's fruition.

Thank you for your candid and outspoken representation on behalf of your fellow men and country facing harm's way amidst what is potaentially hazardous out there and we may not know if we ever can receive your input in the future either, please be careful where you are and may you find the wealth with your accumulated IQD esp. when the war on the insurgents is finally over and you return back on this Forum with other mmates you may like to recommend and share your joy!!!

Hurdles there are, to this day as we exchange and dispute over the FIL or RV dates but whatever it may be that lies before you, stalling that long awaited hope, dream and desire to cash in the millions of Dinars for more dollars or whatever other currency, the strength of the dollar from the Dinar and the payouts into your pockets will prevail only when the ecomomic promise outgrows the current despair, uncertainty and near anarchy that still rules the streets of Baghdad and surroundings...

I'm still waiting patiently myself...even if it takes another several months or longer if need be.... it doesn't matter, I have already bought my Dinars and they are not about to fade by the ink or age whilst safely stashed away in a safe deposit bank vault.

Just don't be too darn hard on yourselves with the current display of uncertainty and you will learn to relax a whole lOT better by not being tooo anxious with all these grinning news....we get slapped from right & left...its like bullets whizzing past....

Luckily, we ain't in Iraq....

The soldiers can use their dollar bills at the exchange in Iraq (AAFES) but did you know that they don't use coins...there are no pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters at least as of 6 months ago. If a soldier buys something at the exchange and he/she is due back change they are given these hard cardboard-like tokens in denoms of 5, 10, 25 cents. They can spend these at the exchange just like cash. I have some of these my husband brought back from Iraq. I will scan them and post them since I can't give ya' a link...My point is maybe Iraq has the same plans (temporary) for coins and lower denoms, then phase them out. Just a thought. This way they could reval now...if they wanted.

- Electronic Monetary Tracking in order to trace purchases (crucial for security purposes)

- Restructuring the banking systems before the launch of lower denoms (providing they are also available due to security features such as codes & serial numbers being electronically inputted)

- Arbitrations of asset dispersements (namely oil, which undoubtedly will cause numerous delays)

- Overall security in Iraq not improving

PS: Hopefully all of the above is done &/or addressed asap. Everyone knows that the current rate is utterly bogus. So they have no choice but to reval it yesterday, at the soonest...

#2 FACT: IF THEY LEAVE THE RATE OF THE IRAQI DINAR AT CURRENT LEVEL INFLATION WILL CONTINUE TO CLIMB AND AT THE CURRENT RATE OF 70% THERE ISNT A WHOLE LOT OF ROOM TO GO BEFORE THEY CRASH THE ECONOMY. (true the inflation rate decreased by 12% this last month, the previous 2 months saw it climb that 12% so it can increase as fast as it can decrease. not good.)

#3 FACT: AT THE CURRENT RATE OF THE DINAR UNEMPLOYMENT WILL CONTINUE TO SKYROCKET AND CAUSE IRREPARABLE DAMMAGE TO THE IRAQI ECONOMY.

#4 FACT: THE SECOND IN COMMAND OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE HAS JUST TOLD US THEY MUST RAISE THE RATE OF THE IRAQI DINAR TO REPAIR THE CURRENT ECONOMIC SITUATION(see my signature).

i can come up with more like this as can adster or anyone who has been keeping track.

*oh, and they have ALREADY implemented the electronic changes at the cbi as per an article from the other day. they just shut down all the banks and the cbi to hook them all together.

*they have been working on the restructuring of the banks as per an article posted here last week as well.

*security issues have improved as per articles from this week.

*they have come to an agreement on dispursment of funds as per an article from this week.
