Heres an idea, anyone who has bought from a Chase branch (even if you have not, just call any branch), call that branch, and ask them and report the news here, we can all get better results if as many of us that CAN gather info on things we wanna know pool our efforts together, instead of waiting for someone else to report. I tried 33rd Ave and Indian School and the manager tought the teller how to look it up for me. All other branches told me that Chase does not deal in currency exchange.
They obviously don't talk to each other so I don't have a lot of faith that Chase will be available to exchange our Dinar once it revals. FRUSTRATING!!

U.S. says Iraq committed to progress timetable
BAGHDAD, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Iraq's government has agreed to a timetable of steps over the next year to ease spiralling violence, U.S. officials said on Tuesday, as election pressure mounts on President George W. Bush to change his Iraq policy.
Two weeks ahead of congressional elections in which Bush's Republicans are on the defensive over Iraq, the U.S. ambassador and its military commander in Baghdad told a rare joint news conference that success in Iraq was still possible -- and on a "realistic timetable" that would let U.S. troops start leaving.
Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad said he expected Iraqi leaders to make "significant progress in the coming 12 months" -- with support from U.S. troops and officials -- in meeting "benchmarks" for resolving disputes and curbing sectarian killing.
He gave no indication of what if any action Washington would take if Iraq's fractious national unity government failed to meet those expectations.
He and General George Casey warned U.S. and Iraqi forces faced a tough task against enemies that included not just al Qaeda militants but also Iran and Syria.
Both used strong language to decry "decidedly unhelpful" and "cynical" policies pursued by Iraq's two neighbours.
Casey said he was planning unspecified changes in tactics to staunch sectarian bloodshed that is claiming hundreds of lives a week, especially in Baghdad, where Shi'ites and Sunni Muslims live side by side.
He said he would ask for additional U.S. troops from outside Iraq if required but stressed this was only one option and that U.S. or Iraqi troops within the country could also be moved.

There is no problem ordering from Chase at Estrella Pkwy & Van Buren branch in Goodyear
The first time I went in to order they told me they couldn't do it, and I went to the 83rd Ave & Thunderbird Office to make my first purchase. They told me that ALL Chase branches could do it. Foreign currency exchange was new to them and it seemed that many branches did not want to take the time to learn. The branch in Goodyear is now VERY experienced at placing my orders. They have also told me that I can sell back.Last edited by AlwaysDreaming; 24-10-2006 at 05:41 PM.

benchmarks" for Iraqi government
Oct 24 (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Zalmay Khalilzad, said on Tuesday Iraqi leaders had agreed to a timetable of political and security measures and he expected "significant progress" on the steps in the next 12 months.
Khalilzad variously described the steps as benchmarks and milestones rather than conditions and spoke of timelines rather than deadlines.
Following are the steps he outlined:
* Khalilzad said it was of "critical importance" to enact a new oil law to share the profits of Iraq's oil "in a way that unites the country".
Iraq has the world's third largest known oil reserves, most of them located in areas populated largely by Shi'ites and Kurds. Sunni Arabs fear any move towards federalism could shut them out of the profits from the oil.
* Implementing a plan to deal with militias and death squads.
"The prime minister has a timeline of developing a plan by the end of the year and we support that," Khalilzad said.
He specifically mentioned the Mehdi Army, a militia loyal to powerful cleric Moqtada al Sadr, saying: "This 'Jeesha Mehdi' militia group has to be brought under control, it has to be decommissioned, demobilised and reintegrated like other militias."
* Amending the constitution "to make all Iraqis understand that their children will be guaranteed democratic rights and equality".
Washington has repeatedly stressed the need to protect the rights of the minority Sunni Arab community, the powerful elite under Saddam Hussein who lost power after the invasion and were shut out of government at elections.
* Reforming the De-Baathification Commission "to transform it into an accountability and reconciliation program".
The commission was set up under U.S . military rule in 2003 to purge officials from Saddam's Baath Party. Critics complain too many people were affected, including vital bureaucrats and many who joined the party from necessity rather than conviction.
* Setting a date for provincial elections.
* Increasing the credibility and capability of Iraqi forces. The U.S. military commander in Iraq, General George Casey, repeated a forecast that Iraqi forces would be able to handle security within 12 to 18 months, with some U.S. help.
