the chase bank list
Becky in OK says that they stopped dealing in Iraqi Dinar 4 weeks ago
and that they only dealt in it for 2 weeks.
Steph in Pheonix AZ said that Chase has never handled Iraqi Dinar.
Jonh in Pheonix AZ at 30th and Poria Branch has never heard of it, and asked the tellers and they have never heard of it, and says that the only F.currency that they have ever handled at their branch was Canadian, and that was only once.
33rd Ave and Indian School and the manager tought the teller how to look it up for me. All other branches told me that Chase does not deal in currency exchange.
Just spoke to Ana at 67th and Peoria in AZ and she said yes they are and ALL Chase banks should be selling it, basically saying that if they tell you no they are being lazy
here is no problem ordering from Chase at Estrella Pkwy & Van Buren branch in Goodyear and I went to the 83rd Ave & Thunderbird Office to make my first purchase. They told me that ALL Chase branches could do it
Chase at 67th & Peoria, Glendale Az good to go
Called the Chase bank in Longview Texas on Judson Rd.
They are stil letting people purchase. A teller will call me back on what the price is for 100,000 dinar. But they said "no problem" to purchase.
83rd an Union Hills branch wanted us to open an acct and deposit a minimum balance to be able to exchange.
New update on Chase - 101 and Camelback is knowledgable and is still selling at the same rate as when the CBI site was down.
Chase branch on 75th and Thomas stopped selling a week ago.
here we are people what we have soooo far keep up the great work and come on nov 1

November 1st for reval......NO WAY I SAY TOMORROW....Shabibi will be at economic conference 10/30 and 10/31 and he is a keynote speaker....They are not going to want to hear "we plan on, we are going to implement, it's in the works.....THEY WANT TO HEAR WHAT A SUCCESS SINCE YOU INCREASED YOUR DINAR VALUE LAST WEEK" of course my opinion but....If I was Shabibi I wouldn't want to go to that conference with all mideast money bankers etc. without something concrete to discuss. Remember the old saying " money talks --- bull**it walks" that's an awful lot of investors to let walk away.

We have already thought what we will tell these folks so here's our story and we are stick'n to it:
"Thanks for calling about them there dinars, but you see this past 4th of july we had them grandkids down. Wellllll, we took them kids down by the old barn. This is the said part, we had them dinar hide in the barn, don't trust them folks at the bank in town. Welllll, we were down there with some bottle rockets and one of them dang rockets went off into that old barn. Welllll, with all that dry hay and 110 outside, it went up so fast we just wasn't able to get them there dinar out in time. But thanks for calling and don't ever call again please, makes us just cry when we think about all that funny money going up in smoke"

The Chase in Covington, LA, must not be the brightest. First the person who answered the phone said they don't. When I asked was she sure she said well, you have to come in here and we will order them. DAH. I asked for an exchange rate and she told me that she didn't know. I asked if she could find out. "Well, I'll have to talk to a teller". I said OK. They quoted the following rate (no kidding) of .00062690.

A Call for Re-framing banks
October 20, 2006
Economic expert disclosed that the banking system in Iraq is suffering from deficiencies in performing its core functions, stressing the need for re-framing government banks. Dr. Majid Assoori, an expert at the Iraqi Central Bank, said in an interview on the role of banks in the economic reform: the fundamental task of re-framing banks is improving their performance in order to provide banking services to the government, institutions and individuals in accordance with the requirements of developing the economy.
Assoori emphasized that the banking sector plays an important role in the international economic and financial relations; therefore, it has a considerable international attention that the banking sector needs to be responsible and accurate in implementing these transactions.
He said: Therefore, the main objective of re-framing is to eliminate the problems facing banks and ensure the functioning of local and international dealings.
The tasks of re-framing are determined by two main factors: first, The existence of a genuine, clear and transparent political will to do this process, and a proper timing in a relatively calm financial banking activity (Last week was very quiet at CBI and the extra 2 days yesterday and today, even though holiday bet there busy as bees behind the scene). The second task in financial re-framing includes the commitment to the minimum capital for the banks. If a transition to be made to broad international activity, the capital should be increased to its higher levels as well as reconsidering the credit portfolio and improving its management; also, obliging to regulations, instructions and procedures.
Dr. Magid pointed to the need to ease the liabilities of banks and convert as much as possible to increase the capital. Some of the requirements of re-framing banking activity are to reconsider the type of services provided, develop and execute them as soon as possible, strengthen internal controls and monitoring compliance, policy-making is also required in accordance with the Banking Law and the regulations of the Central Bank and the instruction of the Board, as well as reducing operational costs and the use of modern means of providing banking services.
Assoori believed that one of the requirements for re-framing government banks is to reconsidr specialized banks and merge them in one bank to develop industry, agriculture and the projects related to them.
He called for capital increase up to half a billion dollars in order to be able to deal with the new tasks of the current stage of economic development, and the exploitation of part of the oil resources allocated to this development, in order to develop the industrial and agricultural activities, small and medium-sized, to be a center for attracting foreign investments and collaborate with them to implement of these projects, even big ones.
He concluded by saying that the re-framing of banks requires acting according to a well studied plan and serious work by all of those related to these banks and these are, basically, the State represented by the Ministry of Finance, as the sole owner of these banks and the Iraqi Central Bank as the supervisor of the banking activity and the most specialized in assessing this activity. He also said :
Without the cooperation of these bodies and to the support of the government, it is impossible to accomplish the task of re-framing government banks drastically. He pointed out that the re-framing will activate the role of banks in the process of reconstruction and development.
