After reading all the news since yesterday - I think the Kurdish PM showed up and told Iraq president and PM that "since ya'll can't get your crap together for Iraq as a whole, we are going to make our OWN OIL LAW and start pumping with huge $$$ to us Kurdish and WHEN YOU EVER get the rest of Iraq straighten out we can RE-DO our deal with the Iraq government but it will be on OUR terms this time!!!" So I would think that the rest of Iraq government REALLY REALLY needs to get the RV going before they lose Kurdish oil!!
RV ALREADY

Press conference over. No real mention of the economy in Iraq.
Bush was hit hard by an NBC reporter at the end, accused him of adjusting his handling of the war in Iraq as a political move 2 weeks before an election- Ouch!Do unto others....you know the rest...
Here I am getting my Dinar News Fix waiting for that "Bold Adjustment"

But... if the Kurds pass their oil law, let's say today for argument's sake, with the dinar still at 1470, doesn't that give all the benefits to big oil companies and very little benefits to the Kurds?
Our argument for needing the oil law for Iraq has been it comes with an rv in order to benefit Iraq. How can the Kurds get their oil law passed while still being tied to a ridiculously low dinar value. Their only choice would be to go to a different higher value currency which may not be good for us small-time investors. Am I way off base here?

Dubya mainly spoke about why America must 'stay the course" in Iraq. The war is getting unpopular since the polls indicate (for what they're worth) that the majority of Ameicans feel it's time to leave. Too many soldiers are getting killed and that upsets all of us, and rightly so. Anyway, that was the crux of it.." May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits of any infidels who stand in the way of the $1.48 reval of our blessed Dinar."--Some Iraqi guy

i AGREE totally
I agree with you - but the pm kurdish guy can and I wouldn't be surprise to do a little scare tack at the PM for not getting the job done as fast. As smart as the kurdish folks are - I do not see any deal that they do that they will not come out smelling like a rose with $$$$!!! JMO

Maliki is too close to Sadr, can see him being gone. Remember it was Sadr's vote that got Maliki elected....
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.
