Sorry to disagree, but nothing written two years ago is valid today in Iraq. If you can find even one factor that has not changed, then I would agree, but for any of it to be valid would mean nothing has changed, and that simply is not the case. Technically, it was not even valid two years ago as they were just opinions of situation at time. Valid information has to be current information as things are advancing quickly in Iraq.

    Good luck to all, Mike

    Hey All

That site also wants you to buy an Ebook on the Dinar. Imagine that. But there is some validity to only being able to exchange the Dinars in Iraq. Here is from the official website of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) I cant say I understand exactly what is being said here except for the last question and answer is pretty clear cut. You will only be able to exchange the Dinar within Iraq! (does this mean you have to go to Iraq to exchange them? or open a bank account? And if so how would you desposit in a US bank?)

    What are opinions on this???

Will the new currency be convertible into other currencies?

Yes. The new currency will be convertible into other currencies at the market exchange rate that prevails at that time.

Can dollars also be exchanged for new Iraqi dinars? What will be the conversion rate for dollars?

Dollars will not be converted directly into new dinars during the official exchange. Following the exchange, dollars will be convertible directly into new dinars at the market exchange rate. New dinars will also be convertible into dollars as well as other currencies at the market exchange rate.

Will it be possible to exchange currency outside of Iraq?

No. The only official currency exchange locations will be located within Iraq.

"The expert at the "Central", Majid Assuri, expected a remarkable improvement in the rate of the dinar, due to the low dollar exchange rate, over the next couple of months."

    Pippyman,
If you read the top of that page, this is when they were exchanging the old dinars to the new dinars. This has nothing to do with exchanging the dinars we have now into dollars once it pegs.

And as for buying dinars, my intent here, if you had read my previous posts, was to show that no one should invest more than one can lose, as nothign is certain.
    Mike,
I am sorry if I misunderstood your intentions. I agree that everyone should invest only what they can lose, and should come into any venture with their eyes wide open, but sadly some will not, and even though the warnings are out there they will still do what they want regardless.

Not true, have you seen registration forms? You have to disclose everything about your business, as well as principals, agents, addresses of each, SS#, DOB, and very stiff penalties for not allowing access to and keeping records, so read it for yourself.
