Bay Area company ECC received a national award for its construction and renovation of the Fort Suse Detention Facility in Iraq.
The Construction Management Association of America gave ECC the 2006 CMAA Project Achievement Award in the category of "Buildings, Renovation/Remodeling Under $20 million" for turning an unused fort into a much-needed detention center in four months. ECC received the award at an October 17 CMAA Industry Recognition Dinner, part of the association's annual conference in Tampa, FL. A presenter at the awards ceremony said, "This project [the Fort Suse Detention Center] is my personal favorite... Projects that won really did earn their award. It is a great honor to recognize the best of the best."
The project was executed between August 2005 and November 2005 under the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction contract. ECC International, LLC (a subsidiary of ECC) turned a 30-year-old Iraqi military fort that was essentially a shell into a secure, modern facility that could accommodate 1,800 detainees and up to 700 military/corrections personnel. The Fort Suse project was overseen by ECCI Project Manager Louis Perez, who has received numerous commendations for his leadership.
ECCI was given 56 days to have this facility ready to accept 1,000 detainees and a complement of corrections officers and military support. After meeting this goal, ECCI exceeded expectations for completing the remainder of work, allowing occupancy of all facilities one month early and signing off all items two weeks before the deadline.
ECCI President, former Rear Admiral Charles R. Kubic, said the award demonstrates the company's success in providing high-quality construction/renovation on tight schedules despite the dangerous environment in Iraq, where ECCI has completed or is still working on numerous projects for AFCEE and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
"Louis formed and led a fully integrated design-build team of ECC, AFCEE and U.S. military personnel, and Iraqi subcontractors who were singularly committed to execute this project on time, within budget, and with the highest quality," Kubic said. "Solid team work and continuous communication were keys to this remarkable achievement."
ECC provides a complete range of services to support its clients' missions, including design/build construction, operations and maintenance, environmental remediation, and munitions response. ECC serves a variety of U.S. government agencies, including the Army, Air Force, Navy, Department of State, and Department of Energy.

600 million USD grants for water project in Basrah
27 October 2006 (Al-Hayat)
Donor countries made a 600 million USD for the central water project in Basrah, costing a total of about $ 1.1 billion, which is the largest water project in Iraq.
A member of the Development and Reconstruction Committee in Basra governorate, Hamed Azhalimi, said that The Council signed a memorandum of implementing the project with the Japanese International Development Agency (JICA), pointing out that work will start early next year, to be completed within four years. The project secures the need of 1.250 million citizens, and includes a large station of liquidation and pumping, at a production capacity of 400 thousand square meters per day of potable water; add to the production of both Al-Hartha stations, bringing the total production to 600 thousand cubic meters per day, covering the need of the whole city.
Azhalimi pointed out that the Japanese side would bear half the cost of the project, while the Council will maintain searching for other financiers from home and abroad to complete it. He, also, said that about 28 other projects relating to the extension of water pipes network in different areas of Basrah are implemented by the donor countries.

Ok so Sadam had 4 trillion in cirulation. Now as mentioned above we have heard reports of up to 16 trillion being printed. Now what is printed is not what is in cirulation. I seem to remember a post about this subject a while ago and it seems that the amount in cirulation was between 3.5 and 4.5 Trillion. Now if we do the math that would make the low end $1.20, if those figures are correct.
And I don't even want to speculate on the high end!!!!Like to Shop? Like to Save Money? What if you could do both and Make Money Also?? Be sure and check this out!!! "MyWorldPlus"

I believe as so do a lot of people, that when this hits the forex you are going to see a lot of banks getting on board with this currency as they are not going to be willing to pass up the income that other banks will be making with the exchange, and I don't beleive that it is going to be a situation where we have to cash them in the first day or the bottom will fall out of it. This game is going to be going on for a long time.
