I have a bit of interesting information, just keep in mind its second hand info. I have a friend who claims that he has a friend in castorville (outside of san antonio) that has a son right now in iraq thats an army ranger and there guarding all the banks right now and the iraqi military isn't allowed in or anyone else that looks suspisous to them. I find it interesting that this is now the second time we heard of army rangers outside the banks.

I agree...my husband just recently got back from Iraq...he was a company 1SG (E8) he said they usually only use Rangers for special OPs so this could be very good sign...he certainly raised his eyebrow when I told him what I heard on RC about Rangers guarding banks. He said must be pretty important to bring in Rangers for a bank.

17 Iraqi police killed near Basra
Map showing Basra, Iraq
Gunmen have kidnapped and killed 17 policemen near the southern Iraqi city of Basra, police sources have said.
It is believed that 15 of them were trainers instructing new recruits at a police academy in a nearby town.
Their bodies were said to have been found in several locations some four hours after they were taken.
Correspondents say the incident has underlined the challenges the Iraqi government faces as it struggles to boost the country's security forces.
The attack will be seen as a setback for British attempts to pacify southern areas, which have escaped the worst of the country's sectarian violence.
The men were forced off a bus at 1600 (1300 GMT) the Associated Press news agency reported.
They were shot in the head and chest.
The minibus was taking them from the academy, which is under the supervision of British forces to Basra, 12km away, according to Reuters news agency.
Two major attacks on police in the town of Baquba north of Baghdad last week left a total of 41 recruits dead.

I run the risk of sounding ignorant but I am used to it by now! What's the significance of Stephanie's post where she states that BOA will be dealing with the dinar from Nov 13th. What's the deal here? Do they only deal with internationally traded currencies? Someone please enlighten me. Thanks.
