Ok after diging around i found the link that says the dinar is a fully convertible currency....so here ya go Iraq

So if the dinar is already a convertable currency what is the big deal about article 8????? With the passing of the FIL and when it goes into effect doest that mean there ready for international business....or is there that gonna be some bullshiate clause saying well there not a member of the WTO so compaines cant sell there shitte to iraq just yet.???? Can you elaborate the signifigance of article 8 in laymans terms ....

I have been searching through my articles and links because I recall reading an article around August that stated the next IAMB meeting would be for the review by IAMB and Worldbank on the metering requirements.
I don't think it will involve Article VIII because that can just be submitted to the IMF as accepted and is not really ceremonial, but, this could also be a next step to WTO accession.

(1)4. The International Advisory and Monitoring Board has a meeting scheduled Oct 31 , 2006. When they meet the Iraqi Govt can Request control of the oil proceeds from the IAMB and Resend Resolution 1637 and sign article VIII and trade thier curency internationally.
1637 has RESTRICTIONS ON THE CURRENCY so they MUST GET ARTICLE 8 TO GET RID OF THOSE RESTRICTIONS. looking for the entire article...

it opens in australia this monday morning and that is 5pm est. i dont think it will be on the forex right when it opens in sydney as most recognize nyc as being the actual start time which would be 8am est. monday morning. however, they wont put it on as long as they are under 1637 as currently there are restrictions on the currency under that. we need off that one and onto article 8 status first.
