He explained that the four main points that would hasten ICI's implementation could be summed in preparing the compact's final documents before ultimate adoption, utilizing institutional executive mechanisms to supervise programs and investments, specifying major investment needs in Iraq, and creating a liaison office to handle coordination with donor nations.(end) kt.

Nice one matey, interesting how all the big boys have joined the party. First Russia, then China and Japan and now the neighbours Kuwait and Saudi. All wanting a piece of the huge $$$$$ pie. Even the Froggies are getting onvolved and they're not known for parting with their Euros, lol.

Can only be a good thing for us.

I was thinking about this long and hard last night. There is still time for Bush to turn this around. The voters generally remember the last good or bad policy/actions their party have done before voting either for or against them. With a week to go to elections it is still very possible that Bush can turn this round with an economic upturn in Iraq. With Cheney's contacts in the oil business with Halliburton where $$$ speak volumes there will be a huge backing from voters if they knew there were disney dollars in it for them......

I'm not saying it will definitely happen, but it will be fresh in voters minds if Iraq revalued in the next couple of days. Instant millionaires in the US would be queueing up for the man that made them millionaires and the knock on effect it would create by way of jobs etc.......US troops going into Iraq would be seen by some as a 'success' instead of failure.....

Throw this in with the meetings today, hopeful signing of article V111 today, rumours of smaller denoms in banks, BoA selling from 13/11, 10k due to go out any day, mentions from undersecretary of MoF talking about 'strengthening the dinar' etc, banks being closed, enacted FIL within 10 days, and I'd say this really is as good a time as any for a reval.

What better time to do it???????

So anytime after today, provided they sign on the dotted line, they could reval the dinar. Could be tomorrow, this week, or a date to be decided
