Not to worry, almost all banks use this to validate currency of all kinds.

Most Banks in the USA with an international dept will have this machine for their use. A lot of foreign currency comes and goes that is counterfit.

As Adster said, whatever you do, don't let anyone take one of your bills. IF they tell you that they have to verify the authenticity...go with them, if they protest, take your money somewhere else. Once, the dinar is in a position to be exchanged !...it is worth money, that 25,000 dinar will be 25,000$ not 40$

Exactly, and as of Sunday, there's a good chance they will be worth that much. ;0)

Guys, off on hols (and lols) tomorrow. If I can will try and get to a computer, (laptop's been banned)! but there aren't too many internet cafe's where we're going!

I really don't think someone in a bank is going to steal money from a customer. I think everyone needs to calm down.

Well, they tend to steal from folk over here by the day! You're probably right, but I'm buggered if my dinars are leaving my sight.

There is no way my dinars will leave my sight without exchange cash in hand or in my account. At that point I will calm down, LOL.
