hmmmmm.....no cheques yet and yes , where are the smaller denoms?
Again....I think the reval is close so don't be to disappointed with yesterday . When it comes it will be a suprise to us in the easrly morning hours when they update the CBI site....then expect the big press conference. They stated in the article posted by Charmed that the "Hydrocarbon law that lays out exactly how revenue is going to be shared"....kind of sounds like Kuwait where only 1/5 of the country works because the rest live wealthy off of oil revenues....and like Alberta, Canada where the people of that Province receive a cheque for revenue sharing. Also...for Iraq to rebuild, (structures, electricity, agriculture, etc) they are going to have to IMPORT....which means buying from other countries...which they have stated that they can't do as it is not feasible at this time. So, quietly and soon they will R/V that damn Dinar....give out those cheques...make people open bank accounts...and start handing out smaller denoms.
We also know that forever Iraq has been a cashed based counrty....but I think the value of the dollar is worth more when it is in the CBI...and the CBI then knows how much is in circulation...so this is why they are giving out cheques...making the people open accounts and give them smaller denoms.
When is it they are sending bank employees for training?....Nov. 13 area.
Big steps are being made everyday and we are seeing a lot of hype coming out of Iraq regarding this...However I think we will see the R/V when there is little hype...as I said..quietly SSSHHHH

Wow your story is exactly like mine. I too called both main " currency branches " in the chicago area, evanston and chicago, rest assured they
" all " do in fact buy and sell dinars in every state at every main branch.
When you first walk in they may say they do not, but tell them you are absolutely positive that they do. Go to a different branch, walk in and say I want to order foreign currency, they ask what kind, tell them Iraqi Dinar, IQD, 1,000,000 worth ( or whatever amount you desire ) , make sure they look it up, because they do sell, picked up more last week from multiple suburb branches, if ordered early enough in the day, you get it next day.
current buy rate from chase is $767.67 per million
they even buy it back from you for like $620-something
If you still have trouble, call the Elk Grove VIllage branch on Higgins rd., have them call your local branch to give em a kick in the a$$ and do there job and look it up in their computers

re: Article V111
We had this info from a few days back:
"The International Advisory and Monitoring Board has a meeting scheduled Oct 31 , 2006. When they meet the Iraqi Govt can Request control of the oil proceeds from the IAMB and Resend Resolution 1637 and sign article VIII and trade thier curency internationally"
It always seems to take time to find out what has been accomplished at their mtgs... half the time its embargoed... not saying this was.. but it might take alittle more time to confirm one way or the other.. and of course its not unusual for them to suddenly entend a time frame? Remember the FIL also would automatically kick in if not manually done within 30 days.. which i think was within first week of Nov... Still hoping.. :)ez
