I think this is the key....... too many things lined up within the banking systems..
nothing can stop it now... the other things that need to be made official and public might just be waiting til all the technical things are in place... and they all do seem to be pointing to sometime this month... being we've eliminated Oct... I'm fine with anytime in Nov.!! :)ez

Just how would it happen??
I am just curious how this will all go down? One morning will I wake up, check MSN's money foreign exhchange rate chart and see the Iraqi Dinar?? It just seems somewhat anti-climatic. Or will it be all over the news "millions of US citizens become overnight millionaires"?? Any thoughts??

Hi Adam,
As to the notes, as you know, 14 denoms were printed as it was mentioned last year, but we still don't know what they are, or where they are. My only reference was that the same denoms will be used as before, and the notes that were used without Saddam's mug will be the same. Remember, these were all exchanged out back in 2003, so unlike the Saddam mug notes, which are worthless now, the smaller notes may be reintroduced is what I have heard, but as educated speculation only. As you know, Kurd's used Swiss dinar, so they don't have a direct handle on which notes will be reintroduced, and which are new.
When you think about it, why not. The smaller denoms were never counterfeited, unlike the Saddam mug notes used, so when they were exchanged, they may still have these stockpiled, which makes a lot of sense when you think it through. If this is the case, all one has to do is go and look at the former small demoms and I think you will see most did not use Saddam's mug, he was on most the large notes though as he showed is ego maniacal tendencies.
Good luck to all, Mike

I like this.....we know there are 14 new denoms....nine of which we have seen that range from $25 coin to the $25,000 note. Now factor in a R/V to the American dollar like Adster says...that leaves notes of 1.00, 2.00, 5.00, 10.00, 20.00. Now if the old coins don't have Saddams mug on them, the CBI can re-issue them as well......hmmmm were getting there

Hey Addy
I might be back-dooring this, but IF the FIL MUST be enacted within 30 days, the currency would have to be fully convertible and everything would HAVE to be in place, wouldn't it? Is there any other option to have an enacted FIL and not see movement?
I know there are a lot of other items we're looking at, but are we overlooking the obvious?
BTW, I'm learning from/with everyone else, so if I'm missing something, I'll learn some more.

My thoughts on why it should not (or will not) be on the airwaves....
If you were watching "Desperate Housewives" or "Everybody Loves Raymond" or something like that one day and then during a short newsbreak you suddenly hear that the US has suddenly bore thousands of new millionaires that were savvy enough to invest in Iraq's economy during their turbulent times, can you imagine the amount of speculation into the troubled economy of the next ailing country? Can you imagine the possible bankruptcies resulting from the lack of sudden windfall because of investors hoping for similar wealth outcomes such as Iraq? I don't think Dubya would want fingers pointed at him for the mass bankruptcies. I think he would insist the media stay out of it. JMO.
