May 24 (Bloomberg) -- International Monetary Fund Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato urged the U.S and countries in Europe and Asia to start working together to rebalance lopsided trade and investment flows to avert a slump in financial markets.

U.S. lawmakers have blamed global trade imbalances, including their country's record $805 billion current account deficit and China's surplus with the U.S. and Europe, on the mainland's reluctance to let its currency appreciate and damp global demand for its exports. De Rato said today these disparities threaten the world's prosperity.

``We want to begin a benign sequence of events that will allow global imbalances to unwind in an orderly and gradual way,'' de Rato said in a speech in Singapore. An abrupt adjustment ``could cause global financial market disruptions as well as a downturn, and both could affect the open, trading economies of Asia seriously.''


....this is a very interesting tidbit,...didn't know this..


The U.S. has the largest IMF voting stake -- 17 percent -- giving it sole veto power over the fund's direction because all decisions require at least 85 percent of voting shares.

We should start a "Currency Club"! We could make millions off of each endeavor and then start the process all over again!

Not to mention take care of our families for generations to come and our favorite charities too!

Yes, it's true...many of us are sneaky little wives that want to 'put one over' on their hubbies...but you must understand that it is bred in some of us gals a bit more than others! And in the end we aren't conniving, evil, women...just women that get satisfaction by doing things FOR their husbands for the 'shock value'! ....That would be me!

Here's to the gals that love their guys, and also to the guys that love their gals....But if you guys were to do something like this without your girl knowing, you should tell her! You shouldn't keep secrets! Shame on you boys!!!

Aah Tiff! They old double standard. I LOVE IT!

Well, I will try to check in tomorrow morning before I leave for overnight camp with my oldest daughter. I get to be a tent mom! (yeah!) I won't be back until Friday evening, so don't do too much without me!
