Ambassador of European Commission in Baghdad Alca Callow stressed on importance of holding dual dealings with European States and showed the will of these states to open up to Iraq and widening fields of cooperation during his meeting with Trade Minister Dr Falah Hassan, said Spokesman of the Ministry to Alsabah. On the other hand Dr Hassan renew Iraq's wish to cooperate with European Commission to benefit from advanced experiences of its states and investing it to build workforces abilities

The news of them giving out the 10,000 dinars at this time with everything else we've heard is going on now is good news and falls in line with everything else happing right now.

1. October 15th. 3 year anniversery of the New Iraqi Dinar.
2. October 19th. Religious leaders meet in Mecca to endorse a call for an end to all sectarian bloodshed
3. October 24th. End of Ramadan.
4. October 30-31. IAMB meeting. (Article V111 done and dusted?)
5. End of October. ICBG to launch by end of October.
6. FIL passed 10 October, we were told it would take a month to be officially enacted, so we're looking at around 7/11 for announcement in the Gazette.
7. Week beginning 6 November, distribution of ration cards........
8. ISX reopening 7 November.......
9. Rumour of BoA selling dinars from 13/11, we were told they'd only be dealing with dinars once it was 'trading' internationally........
10. Mid/End of November. International Compact for Iraq signed, sealed and delivered. Hopefully debt forgiveness by Saudi and Kuwait as well.
11. December ?. DFI is turned over to the GOI.
12. December 31 end of year 1345 IQD to 1 USD CBI/IMF projection achieved.
13. Jan 1st. Beginning of a new fiscal year.
14. March 22, 2007. Iraq's IMF Stand-By Arrangement expires
15. 2008. Iraq begins making large IMF fund payments.

ISX is open. Should be from the 1st. I have an order confirmed by Warka for the 6th of november.

7th is also on tuesday then ISX is not trading.

Given the fact the issues of replacing many parliament and cabinet members was mentioned more than a couple months ago, it is obvious the new gov. is totally inadequate for the task at hand, so this is a good sign that Maliki can no longer just ignore these critical issues.

After all these months of threatening to replace members, and seeing nothing has happened, it is obvious Maliki is the problem, not the solution. It is unacceptable to have so many members not attend every meeting given the fact this is a new beginning. What a joke to allow this to continue even after threats of removal were made months ago. I would dump every single member who fails to attend more than three times in a year.

With hind sight taken into acct back then.... that was my assessment since! Facts are facts... the guy is inapt for the job nor competent and courageous to confront what is necessary.... they all are hoping the USA to come in, do a magnificent job, lose lives (so what, WHO cares really...by Iraqi Politicians) Bush wanted to prove something but we run this bloody oil dump anyway so we do what we like at the end of the day... even to switch sides if need be when the time comes....

That's the fear and scenario the Administration just COULD NOT afford to admit facing for there are just too many objectives at stake in the interests for America and her citizens and yes, its no shame or malice to know that OIL has alot to do with the nation building of Iraq... it's NEVER a free-lunch on these global handshakes...
