Yup, here's Wardy's whole post, sure you won't mind matey, it's a great post...and thanks.
Well here is another interesting confirmation of my point.
This link is to the CBI. At the bottom of each page a reference is given to the value of the Iraqi Dinar as of 2002. Considering that the website wasn’t up till 2004 it would appear that the CBI is acknowledging the 2002 rate a real rate…..and that is 3.2169 USD to the Iraqi Dinar
Translated version of http://www.cbiraq.org/Binder12.pdf
I quote: 3:Parity Value of Iraqi Dinar By Dollar (3.2169)
Gee it reminds me of when the MOF says , “ Returning to the Former Rate”
Plus we also have the IMF. The exchange rate per the IMF in 2002 and up until September of 2003 was 2.53758 SDRs which is about $3.22.

Now I still understand the point you are making but you cannot ignore these reports by the official sources either. So again we have two choices, slow grow or peg and I believe the political climate as cited recently by the official reports point to the latter.
Also obliging your 17 trillion theory, citing this official evidence would prove a .75 cents USD at the minimum.
But then again, its just that there are all those darn official documents
In any case we are soon to find out that answer right?

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

I know we have had quite a few predictions etc. lately but we know we are on the verge of something big...like a big reval.
Here is a new speculation question:
Will RolClub find out the rate and date BEFORE it is officially announced.
Hint hint to those lurking: We thrive on the rush so we sift through the sand and our trip to the Cayman's is already planned.
***See we can be evasive too....now how about that ARTICLE VIII!!

It is a awsome feat that the Imf Is paying attention to US. Between all the forums that are out there they have a estimated 7000-10,000 members reasearching this and some of these people are brilliant. No wonder they watch.
I am a fact kind of guy but I do remember reading a artilce about The UN wanting to take control of the Internet because they say it has world wide use. The United States of Course said h_ll No. This does not change the fact the UN wants control of the information being Processed over the internet. Now you know why.

Hoshyar Zebari seen positive developments in the French position
(Voice of Iraq) - 02-11-2006
This issue was sent to a friend
Hoshyar Zebari, the Iraqi Foreign Minister : we have seen positive developments in the French position to help the Iraqi people in the face of challenges
02 / 11 / 2006 4:30 (Greenwich Mean Time)
Said Hoshyar Zebari, the Iraqi foreign minister to visit Iraqi President Jalal Talabani of France was not abrupt, He pointed out that this visit, which has been prepared for some time ago will be an opportunity to explain the nature of the security situation and the political and economic situation in Iraq.
Zebari said in an interview with "Radio Sawa" that the Taliban would ask the French government to support the efforts of the Iraqi government and to support the efforts of stability in Iraq, He pointed out that France is a party to the International Covenant partnership with Iraq.
The following is the text of the interview conducted with him on November 1, 2006 :
Question-What is the nature of the visit of the President of the Republic of Iraq to Paris in these circumstances, Did France in more positive attitudes towards the former Iraq?
C - this official visit comes the invitation of President Jacques Chirac to President Jalal Talabani. This visit did not come unexpected but has been prepared for the period and there will be an opportunity to explain the nature of the security situation and the political and economic situation in Iraq. and ask the government to support the efforts of the French government and to support the efforts of stability in Iraq and the region, especially as France is a party to the International Covenant partnership with Iraq and also as an important member of the Security Council, could help.
We have seen positive developments recently in the French position towards the situation and the international partnership to help the Iraqi people to get rid of the challenges it faces.
O-Is this visit will open a new page in relations oil or military?
C-France was militarily important partner for Iraq and the Iraqi government is also interested in this aspect, and aware of the importance of bilateral relations between the two peoples and between the two governments, We will undertake a review of these relations and ways of strengthening and consolidating including the interests of the two countries and peoples.
O-Is there a faith that the President Jalal Talabani to visit another European country?
C-program who is currently visiting France.
Question-Can you tell us the talks that took place between you and the American National Security Advisor Steve Hadley?
C-met yesterday with National Security Advisor Steve Hadley with a number of our brothers officials in a dialogue and meaningful discussion on developments in the current situation in Iraq and the role of the American government and the role of multinational forces to help improve the situation.
What we felt is the keenness of the American administration to adhere to their positions, and there is no change, and the reports that there is disagreement and a split in opinion between the two governments do not unfounded basis. Yes statements occurred in Baghdad and in Washington. But there is a strong partnership between the two governments and I think that he also heard the positions of Iraqi political leaders on how to overcome the current challenges and the government's role and performance in processing.
O-Is to extend the work of the coalition forces for another year will request from the government or the parliament would be through this time?
C-mechanism requiring that the government make a formal request to the Security Council requesting an extension of the mandate for another year, There is no doubt that this issue has been debated and discussed currently by political activists, parliamentary and the final decision is the decision of the government.
But because of the political nature of this issue and the sensitivities associated with this matter, there is a tendency that the parliament be informed of the movements and positions of the government in this area. But the final decision is the decision of Mr. Prime Minister, as the Iraqi government, to submit such a request.
O - we heard that there is a tendency to open and expand the Iraqi diplomatic work, km by your number of States that will be Iraq's diplomatic representation soon?
C - The Iraqi government has recently taken a decision to expand the Iraqi diplomatic representation abroad and embark on the opening of 15 new embassy of Iraq in a number of countries and the task Messages States and the approval of this initial task will be from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the States.
