Irbil (November 4) Agency (Lucky) - Italian news was announced in the city of Sulaymaniyah province of Iraq's Kurdistan morning today, Friday, the establishment of an economic forum in the province. As we have all seen over these past few months, it is the Kurd's who have the economic brains in Iraq, and it is showing up more and more as Baghshit becomes more inept to slow the killings, never mind get everyone to attend parliament meetings of such importantance. If Maliki cannot even get his cabinet members squared away, he surely isn't up to getting the sectarian violence to stop. He has put his foot in his own mouth for all to see when he played the part of a real leader, but he ended up showing everyone he is nothing more than a Sadr City loyalist.

His days are numbered while the U.S. tends to condone his actions, and excuses them in public as if Maliki is in a tough postion. What a phoney joke this is, I'll bet Bush was spitting bullets while Maliki was playing leader. (g) I just hope the Kurd's take over control of parliament sooner, rather than later, and Talabani or Barzani would be good candidates, both Kurd's. With Rice visiting Kurd's the other week, and now this important meeting, combined with the overall silence, who knows, but I suspect something is cooking well beyond a revalue as Kurdistan is a hot bed of economic growth while Baghshit is slowly being flushed down the toilet.

Still no 10K handout, as per the word of by Kurd's, and although issue is still not being discussed by the average al-citizen. It sure is strange why it was even mentioned if not already calculated on how to best distribute dinar. Again, it shows how screwed up Baghshit and Maliki are trying to manage killings in Iraq when he cannot even handle parliament members attendance. Sure makes you wonder what is really going on behind the scenes, and if republicans lose house and senate, don't you think Bush will be a little more pissed off at Maliki over his anti American statements at the worst possible time? This would make a good book with all these scenarios being played out behind the scenes.

I noticed that the last 2 auction days of last week the price was 1470.000.

To me this looks strange.

Does anybody know if the price of 1470.000 has been there in the past for 2 days for several days?

Maybe they have done this for a reason, like putting the . 3 places to the left to 1.47!!

I know that we are waiting for all these annoncements to come out in the "Official Gazette" but I'm seeing this alot on the CBI website under banking laws ....

Example under Regulations:

....Thereafter, this Instruction shall be published in the Official Gazette or a widely circulated publication, as the CBI deems appropriate.

Example under Banking Law/Amended:

A decision by the CBI to grant a license or permit shall be notified to the applicant and published in the Official Gazette or if the Official Gazette is not available for such use on a frequent basis, then published in a widely circulated general publication(s) (here after the “ Official Publication.”) Upon issuance of the license or permit, the bank shall be added to the list in the register of banks.

What would be another widely circulated publication other the one we are looking at now? I'd hate for them to sneak everything past us!

I agree now is as good as any to RV the dinar. It may even help when they come to terms with hanging the boogy man. Security is already at an all time high and we have more troops over there than ever. Elections could play into the timing and all the new laws seem to be done and waiting to be used !

The single thing that it still unsettled in my mind is Kuwait & SA Debt. It is not clear to me that it has been forgiven. talked about yes but i am still a bit unclear on this and think it is something that Iraq has been holding out for.

Could they have to RV with out it maybe ...could we be looking past Sunday maybe........... are we close ... Yep i think so

Reckon they mean once it's revalued it'll be announced in one of the papers like alrafidayn or sotaliraq.
