Thread: Iraq/Dinar News. 09/05 to 01/14/07

Since I have not been following on how to purchase the dinars, I was wondering if anyone excepts e-gold for buying them. Please advise.

That is odd. Usually when you click on Iraq dinar at bottom it gives you the rate but today there is nothing. I am awake again. I do not check this site often but the last time i checked it was working fine. Has anybody notice if it was working yesturday?

Duh!

What you are looking for is that bottom scroll. It always has the current quote. It works like clockwork, even when the CBI site was down that was still showing a price.

It just seems as if they have cut off the known value from the world...(loud daunting music)...

Duh!

Normally when you click on those tabs you get a scrolling banner of news, or under the dinar you would get a scrolling banner of dinar versus other currencies like IQD/USD, IQD/euro, IQD/KWD etc. There has always been scrolling banners regardless.

I just finished spending many hours (when I wasn't working this weekend) photocopying all the serial numbers on a couple hundred bills.

All my records are complete. When it R/V's in the morning, I just have to drive about 2 miles to the bank safety deposit box.

can you go into more detail on why you are photocopying the dinars?

do banks have notories on hand to maybe verify copies of dinars being subjected to an exchange, just to be sure on proccess running smoothly?

Thank you CharmedPiper for coming to the resque. I have never been to that site and didn't know what to look for. I feel such an idjit at times. (I had to spell it 'idjit' hoping that this would be exceptable, the proper spelling was rejected). Does anyone feel sometimes just a tad (dinar) unbalanced throughout all this experience???? LOL!

I think also that I read somewhere, where the Trade Bank of Iraq is the one they use for the deposit of oil revenues.

After the r/v when you go to exchange your dinar the bank will send them to be authenticated, in NY I believe.
Photocopying each of your dinar not only proves they are yours but makes a notation of every serial number. That way no one can switch your's for counterfeit ones, etc. It's just a safety precaution but worth the time to do it.
Several bills can be placed overlapping each other on the copier, as long as the serial numbers are visible and this will save time and paper.
