I spent the week alone painting a condo in Copper Mountain, Colorado, (tough duty...) with just CNN to keep me company. Oy. It's enough to depress an ayatollah. (Or as my father would have said, Ayatollah you so...Armageddon out of here....) It's good to hear the good news posted here. I was all set to rock and roll with pegs this morning, any rumbles anywhere on a projected date? I know, I know, it will hit the news and be here too, it's just tough to sit this out, you know?

Congressman Returns From Trip To Iraq

Jun 05, 2006 - Congressman Ray LaHood says Iraq has the potential for a very strong economy now that it has a government in place.

LaHood just returned from his first trip to Baghdad over the weekend.

LaHood was among a congressional delegation that included U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert. The group got a chance to meet with Iraq government officials, top military command and soldiers from Illinois.

LaHood says Iraq may have as much as 200 million barrels of oil underground that could be produced.

The 18th District republican said, "These new ministers are gonna have to develop opportunities for companies whether it's energy companies that want to come in and produce the oil, get it out of the ground, refine it. They're just at the starting point and unemployment causes a lot of idleness and causes lot of opportunities for mischief."

LaHood says U.S. troops are trying to close borders near Iran and Syria where insurgents are coming into Baghdad.

LaHood says since meeting with the Iraqi government he has a higher level of optimism about the country establishing democracy.

He now thinks U.S. troops will be there for decades but at a smaller level than now.

LaHood will appear on our new 9:00 p.m. news program which debuts tonight on UPN 59 WAOE-TV on Insight Cable Channel 11.

I purchased the dinars from Iraqidinars.com.

Very nice people and very helpful with making my purchase.

Although I did not purchase millions, it is enough to better our life. I thought I was going to miss the boat on this.

Now waiting for this to peg along with everyone else.

Hi speedbird,

PM is easy.

Go to Neno's name in his post and left click right on it

A drop shows up and just go down the list of options and click on private message to neno.

A new window will open and you type in your message and at the bottom of the window hit submit.

Hope this helps you PM to Neno.
