11/08/06 "Information Clearing House" -- -- In the next few months, a financial crisis will arise somewhere in the world which will jolt the American economy and trigger a swift and precipitous decline in the value of the dollar.

This is not speculation; it will happen and there is nothing that the Bush administration can do to stop it.

All of the traditional supports for the dollar have been removed by the shrinking economy, a massive $800 billion account deficit, dramatic increases in the money supply, and the reckless manipulation of interest rates.

    Rest of report @

And this is in the Iraq news thread because? The referenced article is interesting, but there is so much Iraq news that it tends to clog this thread in my opinion.

    Default If i remember

I thought you had to be a certain age before receiving the grant. I want to say 16 byrs old. But i am not sure. So i do not believe the grants go to all 25 million. So if thats true, the picture looks brighter for us.

Also, is that were we expect to see the change when it comes or will be on the FOREX. I've read conflicting stories and don't quite recall.

I am sure you all will know and post it and my husband and I have practiced our WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTING, and we also have Champaign chilled for the occasion.

We really appreciate all the hard work all of you put in on this forum. I also check out 5 other forums and some of them seem to be in a coma. This one is so informative and lively.

I need to make a retirement decision in the next 6 weeks and hopefully, it will be an easy one.

So, please have patience with my questions, but would like an answer as to what time the CBI opens. I am on the West Coast.

Again, thank you ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL for your hard work.

Oh, and one more thing - HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSIEGIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the CBI opens on their Sunday Morning and start auction at 10:30 and post results at about 11:30 ..unless they are late in posting

I think this info is on the CBI site
    Oh the drama....

I am not one for rumors and all and not one to start one but there is something going on with chase. First chase I called was in round rock and normally they can give me rates over the phone but all the sudden they said they would have to have someone call me back so i gave them my phone number. Second Chase bank I called was off of lamar street in austin and when i asked the teller how much for IQD he immediatetly says oooops and says hold please and puts me on hold before i can say ok. Then he comes back and says price is $764 and some change (do not remember the amount in cents he said), at this time. I said what do you mean at this time and he says prices change up and down and i told him i will be in on monday and he says ok. Then I called another bank in austin and they said they would have someone call me back so i gave them my phone number. The phone rings and a lady is on the line calling me back from the austin location and tells me that if i want to purchase Iraq Dinars then I have to do it online at Chase Personal Banking Investments Credit Cards Home Auto Commercial Small Business Insurance and then we hung up. The lady from roundrock (where i normally buy my dinars and i do not have a account there) told me affective nov. 1st that i have to have an account with them to purchase dinar. She said that she will have to call me back for prices. This is so strange. Normally they can tell me over the phone right away and why all the sudden I need an account? Believe this one or not. I am not saying anything is going to happen on sunday or monday or anything but seems like all the sudden there is alot of chickens with heads cut off. Will post again when the roundrock lady calls me back....

Awful lot of shiite happening. Even the guy at the Halifax in England when I ordered over the phone said there was interest recently in the dinar.

Makes you wonder, supply and demand is not a bad thing in driving the rate up......
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Demand is a very good thing. Actually the more peple that want the dinar the better it is for all of us that are already holding the currency. Demand will help to push up the price. I really hope this weekend is "D" Day, I will be a long week next week if it doesn't happen. Thanks

LOL - the carneval (also called "the fifth season") in Germany starts on the 11-11 at 11:11 every year. But that defintely isn't connected to a reval in Iraq!

By the way: Happy birthday to you, Susie! I hope it's going to be a good one! And thanks for all your hard work!
