I second that! Like many on this fourm...we want to keep grounded (hard to do when a part of my brain is doing this: ). But be sure (fist on my hips and one leg raised in my best Cap Morgan stance)...this will be one RV party that WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!

Duh, Does not the US dollar value and NID value relate to each other!
I live in the US and alot of others do also, Guess we will all be using the Euro, looks that way.

Your reply also just clogged this tread. . .

I don't post often and I read alot of the posts but I also keep my opion to myself if I don't like something!

Fair enough, let's re-address the question once this baby hits. I've said all along that I personally will get so much pleasure knowing that people have read and listened and gone out and bought dinars because of posts from Mike, Susie, myself and others. The thought of knowing you have contributed in making others lives better financially is great and worth a great deal IMO.

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

I've gone through the thread and I've been keeping an eye on this investment closely for several months, but I've owned dinar for much longer than that. In a nutshell we believe this is going to revalue on or before Sunday/Monday because????
    A) 10,000 disbursement set to finally go out
    B) Rumors at Bof A is going to start buying/selling dinar, and they had said previously that they wouldn't offer dinar until it was trading internationally
    C) It's damn time?
    D) The 30 days is up on implementing the FIL

If I am missing something vital - add to my little list.
I still don't see anything pointing to a definitive reval. I too believe this thing will happen. But I am long past getting too excited - However, when it does go down this thing will happen without fanfare - it will just suddenly hit. Thanks to all for the ongoing info . . . .

    Default happy veterans day

I know that technically it is tomorrow, but I wanted to say happy veterans day and THANK YOU to everyone who has or is currently serving. (neysayers included) yesterday I got back from the family vacation, we were in the airport and I saw a man dressed in his army fatigues, I'm not sure why I did it, but I walked up to him and stuck my hand out, he shook my hand, I looked him in the eye and said "thank you" that's all I said. He looked at me, and all though his facial expression did not change much, his eyes looked down at my young son, he nodded his head and said "thank you for saying that" nothing else was said, but if you have ever been part of a "moment" you would understnd what I am talking about. For a very short 20 seconds of my life, I felt like I was in the presence of someone great. So again thank you to all!!

Thanks for posting that. I try to make a point to do that anytime I see one of our veterans out on the street.

There are several things to remember here.

1> Even if they run a deficit, it will start the economy and the oil will more than cover.
2> They have the backing of the IMF, World Bank, and the US Treasury Slush Fund to support emergency Democracies / Currency.
3> All of the countries that forgave debt are betting on this as well.
4> This will force the transition of a cash economy to one based on Banks and cashless transactions.
5> Give them this kind of money and all of a sudden, blowing yourself up to feed the extended family seems kinda silly.
    6> Yadda, Yadda, Yadda.

Bottom line is it is in the hands of the Iraqi people. Whether it happens this weekend or next month, it will happen.
