I would LOVE to hear an update from our friends in the North. Hey RollsRoyce . . .any news from the Kurds???

so I take it that there has been no news about the 10,000nid being distributed, what are they waiting for?.I am still very optimistic about tomorrow, could we actually see the revale or do we wait some more?
This has been an incredible ride and i for one am going to maintain my excitement! We already know that this is a done deal so don't give up!!
This will be something that none of us will forget.those of us who have shared this with our children,what a wonderful thing for them to remember!This will be history in the making! It will happen and for those of us who remained along for this ride,we will be so blessed and also a blessing to others!

Another thing I would like to know is how do you pay for 5 new aircraft. I don't believe Boeing takes dinar.......yet!

I'm with you....I also am very optimistic about tomorrow...I just feel like they are out of time. This reval will give them immediate relief and everything else can fall in after that. Best of luck to all involved....may tomorrow look brighter for the Iraqi's and all involved.

When you start buying items like 30-40 million dollar jets wouldn't it be better to do it with 30 million dinars verses 30 billion dinar or more? If they revaled before making this deal they could get these planes for roughly $3,000,000 each or less!

900 million? my calulator doesn't have that many zero's, how much is that in Dinar at the current rate?

agreed...a lot going on right now and this week....could tomorrow bring an r/v in time to hand out 10,000 dinar checks? I hope so..lets not forget the BoA rumour about tomorrow and selling dinar...also, do you ever sleep Charmed?

Exactly my point it's over 1.3 trillion dinar pretty big bite on the circulation if you ask me...

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iraqi-American held a conference on investment in KurdistanSource : Al Sabah-12 / 11 / 2006

An official with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iraqi-American chamber plans to hold its third of the investment under the banner of (investment in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Prospects for present and future) in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
The official media in the room, Dr. Fouad Hani in a press statement that this conference will highlight the economic reality in Kurdistan and the size of the projects that have been implemented by the public and private sectors before and after the issuance of the Investment Law in the Iraqi Kurdistan region in addition to the presentation of future plans the ministries of the territorial government.
Fuad added that the conference will be the presentation of a working paper by an investment in the Kurdistan region to clarify the implementation of the law on investment in the province, and its submission of legal guarantees for investors and land titling, which will be held by an investment project with multiple areas of investment in various sectors and not covered Afaeat tax and customs.
He pointed out that the ministries of the government of the Kurdistan region will be working papers containing plans and future projects which seek to attract investors to be implemented in various sectors such as building and construction projects and public services and the work of the municipal water and sewage and roads and bridges and extension of electricity networks and advancement of a transport, communications and strategic planning for the Kurdistan region.
Mentioned that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iraqi-American had filed several conferences, such as the first on the sidelines of the first international exhibition of Kurdistan, which was held in September of last year the city of Erbil as well as the promotion of investment in the second Irbil.
