I am so excited I think I may throw up! If I am this excited now hard telling what I will do when it pegs. I probably will run up and down the street and be arrested for disturbing the peace. I just ordered another 500,000 today. I really have to stop. I really feel good about it though. I didn't even hesitate.

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

We're almost there team. Keep smiling.
This was what I was thinking; zero lopping or reprint...A reprint would be very expensive so I don't think that, but why is zero lopping impossible? Why would that be "like sticking 2 fingers up to Blair, Bush etc."? (BTW, does that mean to give the finger but with both hands?)
Not that I WANT a zero lopping - of course not! - but why is it impossible?
I have also heard the rumours that smaller bills are printed and just waiting, which would talk AGAINST zero lopping, but that are only rumours at this point (for us, me, anyway...the guy who said it over at another forum seemed pretty sure of it though)

I guess I am like biopie - just can't dare to believe something really good will happen to me! So I kind of always prepare for the worst - then everything else is better!

But I DO believe this baby will peg, and I hope it will be really soon...because OF COURSE I broke the golden rule and spent "too much" buying dinars so now I am broke (well, I can still buy food, don't worry )

I wonder WHERE we will find out that it has pegged? Probably here!

It was funny; my son scared the s--t out of me this morning, because he came into my room and woke me up with the words: What's the name of the leader in Iraq? They just killed him" I thought he meant Maliki! And then it turned out to be the al Kaida leader!

My whole family is waiting eagerly for this dinar to peg - me and my kids, of course, but my parents and brother also bought some after listening to me... because I told them that if they can afford to lose at least 100$ to buy at least a little bit...and my brother (who doesn't really believe it will go up) figured he could afford to lose 100 bucks - but not the 100 000$ it might be worth later!

My other brother read the same email that I sent to the rest of my family...but just said "I don't believe in that stuff"...Will HE be sorry later!?!?!?

    Ok, I'm ranting
Back to the original question: WHY is zero lopping IMPOSSIBLE?

I am too new here to have any idea what the dinar will peg at. The great minds on this forum must have an idea. Are there any predictions out there?

A zero lopping would mean we're all screwed, that's, you, me, the Americans, UK, rest of the world. You have to remember the world has bent over backwards and forgiven billions of dollars of debt, WHY? to be paid back, starting soon. What kind of message would it send to Iraqi's to wake up one morning and find out the new credit card you had which had a 10,000 Dinar limit now only had a 10 Dinar limit?! Or your life savings of say 3000 Dinar was only worth 3 Dinar?! You'd be worse off than before!!!

Wouldn't give a very stable/confident impression to the rest of the world would it at a time where they NEED foreign investment?

The reason new bills are being printed as some are reporting is to be used for exchange when we go and cash in our bigger notes. Not as if you could walk around with a 5k dinar note if it was worth $16550 which it will be if the latest rumour comes true!

I THINK the peg will be somewhere between .01-.05 US.Then the dinar will appriciate in value over the next several years.....hopefully not too long before it reaches $1.00 US

Adster, is the number in your signature (.31ID) the rumor you are hearing about the peg? Is that .31ID:1 US? That would be great, but was hoping for a little higher.
