When I got there and asked they had never even heard of the currency. The manager then made a call to the 800 number. They were on hold for over 20 minutes. She came back and said that they simply stated "No". They do not see any time in the near future unless is is on the world market.

I'm sorry to have to report this information. It does break my heart. I still believe that we are on the brink of a new day...just when is that day going to happen?????
To me it sounds as the same when Chase got on Board. All just didn't know. Keep checking them and the next time they may know different. I have confirmation. I will go back this week and purchase from them and report.

Regardless of what you may or not think or believe. The auction in the am will tell us a great deal despite the comments of the cheerleaders that we have been subjected to.

I'm interested in seeing what the CBI does in the next couple of days. I wont pass judgement on BoA just yet but since they appear to be dealing in dinar and its not traded international (yet) doesnt this make them out to be liars (hehe) anyway with all the news thats gone out today the next couple of days should be interesting.

Default a toast to you Knowles

[QUOTE=Wm.Knowles;134794]Two questions are presented: The first one asks if this removal of large amounts of dinar is the first step in the RV process? While I can't say that a RV is about to happen. But, the removal of large amounts of excess currency would exactly be what would be expected prior to the reeval of dinar. My opinion is that yes this is a first step. Second, are they (CBI) simply "catching up". The amounts being transacted a far in excess of what would be expected in a catch up procedure from the CBI being down for a few days If they were catching up, they would extend this process over a longer perios of time. Also they (the auctions) are so one sided. Primarily REMOVING currency and not a tit-for-tat of exchange of USD and dinars. So this is very different, something odd. something very strange than what has happened in the past. Your comments are appreciated.[/

    Heck, YOUR comments are appreciated!!

I'm more excited about the CBI press release, as you can tell!

I am still catching up but can we get some B of A branches where a purchase has actually occurred. I read this at lunch and thought great I will hit my branch on the way back to work. I have an account there and when I asked the teller if I could now purchase Iraqi Dinar, I have asked a few times, she said yup sure can now. So we started the process, and then she got a funny look and said looks like we can't after all, that is strange cause we thought we could today. She called the manager and he took me to his office and couldn't find it in the system so he called his support number. It was on speaker and the lady was clearly flustered. She said they had literally THOUSANDS of calls today and wanted to know where I got my information after she verified my account. I explained that I got the info my an investment club friend on the internet. She asked me if I had the Website URL and I stated I didn't have it with me. She then gave me her personal FAX # and asked me to send her the info as soon as I could???? That sure ain't going to happen. But very confusing to say the least.

    Thoughts?

You gotta think this is gonna happen in the very, very, very near future...Otherwise, there's gonna be even more speculators jumping on the bandwagon...

EXACTLY! We have to be on the brink here or there is going to be major speculation and they should know that......

Agreed, although I believe cheerleaders are justified to be on a high after the CBI press article today. We've all been on an emotional rollercoaster with this investment and no reason for not enjoying the moment when reading something so positive.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Agree, but 48 hours? Even on a HOST system with nightly updates wouldn't it be quicker than that???? Not an expert but my company operates much the same way and we get updates nightly. And it is a very large company.

After the decision Power and cost $ 12 billion

    (Voice of Iraq) - 11-14-2006
This issue was sent to a friend

After the decision Power and cost $ 12 billion
Is limiting the fence on the border of Saudi Arabia, Iraqi infiltration of terrorists to the Kingdom. ? !

    Letter Jeddah : Jamal Afifi

The decision of the Saudi government, a fence along its border with Iraq. to prevent terrorists from infiltrating the territory of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, a troubled, satisfaction all quarters concerned, and because of uncertainty to everyone that Iraq has become is the first and main source of terrorism inside Saudi Arabia, , which has been surrounded by that through the control of the returnees from Afghanistan, Then came after the war on Iraq. and Matbaha of terrorist acts led by Saudi Arabia

This ambitious project by the Saudi government. it may take about five years, This comes within the United procedures, The measures also include the installation of units of electronic sensors, The building of firm, natural contraceptive, to protect Saudi Arabia from the dangers and external threats, at a total cost of about $ 12 billion.

This reflects the project, not only concerns about terrorism, but also cautious about the growing deterioration of the situation in Iraq. as fears of all the neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia from the cycle of violence, to extend to the borders of these countries, threaten its security and stability.

    Promote defensive positions
It is well known that Saudi Arabia has spent about 1, eight billion dollars since 2004, to strengthen their defensive positions along its borders with Iraq. under the terms of American officials and Iraqis complain infiltrators from crossing into Iraq. to fight against the American forces. However, the improvements in border control, led to a sharp decline in the volume of traffic flow, heading towards Iraq, The Saudi government show greater attention to prevent infiltrators into its territory from Iraq.

The important thing here for the government of Saudi Arabia is the question of the closure of the border from the Iraqi side, in light of the absence of security in Iraq since the occupation, So far, The project also aims to prevent the smuggling of drugs and weapons, illegal migration through Iraq.

The border region between the two countries
If we look at the border between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. we will find it the second longest Saudi borders with neighboring countries, with a length of 814 kilometers of the border, the executors of machines ranging from the East, Tarif, to the city of the west. there are border crossings and a new outlet is Arara as there are more than 40 centers follower of border guards, to enhance security control. The tightening control to prevent the smuggling of drugs and weapons, and terrorists, and to reduce illegal immigration. and to prevent the infiltration of Saudis to Iraq and due to the presence of some regions on the Saudi-Iraqi border, with the nature of the terrain and the rugged desert, and some rocky hills and plateaus, require the use of high-tech development units, , including the deployment of barbed wire, and use cameras and night-tech.

The advantage of the border area along the Saudi-Iraqi desert of sand dunes creeping from Saudi territory, and Iraqi in addition to some small hills and plateaus low and rocky, the region also has the advantage of the characteristics of helping the infiltrators and smugglers use a variety of methods to mislead, The establishment of underground passages, wear shoes and vice versa, to insinuate that the infiltrator coming from the opposite direction, and some infiltrators who straps boots cut sponge to Attrk behind impact, while carrying each other on their shoulders, even Aistdl their impact on the numbers. However, the Saudi border forces used several techniques, such thermal cameras deployed on the border, In the secret places, in addition to the security patrols by wiping the border region.

    The task of border areas
And with Saudi-Iraqi border on the outskirts of three administrative regions Saudi Arabia. the eastern region and the northern borders. and the Jawf, as the eastern region along the coastline of the Persian Gulf, It is a flat desert plain extends offer 80 kilometers. The length of up to 120020 kilometers and includes the region about 86% of the basic industries, particularly since the discovery of oil in the region also has one of the largest petroleum companies in the world.

While the northern border region in the north-east Saudi Arabia on Saudi-Iraqi border. It is the beginning of transit to Iraq, Turkey, and Syria, Jordan, It is bounded on the south-eastern region, Middle of Iraq, and the West Jawf, and Ha'il, in the north of Iraq and Jordan, and with Arar. The region comprises two provinces are Rafha and Tarif, The population of the region is about 300 thousand souls. The Rafha camp has embraced accommodate Iraqi refugees.

To maintain historical significance, where is the first Saudi territory through which the path of pilgrimage Abbasi, famous b (coached Zubaydah), The province Tarif lies west The long awaited economic future large, the discovery of large quantities of phosphate vicinity.

The area is centered Jawf importance of being one of the gates of the Arabian Peninsula. The surface Between Syria and Iraq. The Arabian peninsula, located Jawf in northern Saudi Arabia. and surrounded by the north and north-east region of the northern border, In the north-west Principality of Qaryat. Tabuk region to the west, It is the south-east area of Ha'il, Jawf and includes a number of different types of terrain, mounds, plains, valleys, The fertile agricultural land.

So what has already confirmed that the Saudi parallel to the Iraqi border in the very important as the eastern region is the breadbasket of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia whole, Any infiltration of terrorists to this region and the implementation of terrorist operations will have negative effects violent.

But there is a question poses itself strongly, Will achieve fence that given Saudi successful in reducing infiltration operations? Is intruders will get nothing in the face of this fence, Or will they have alternatives? .
