Just a quick bit of info about Chase.
I have found 3 Chase banks near my area (50 miles south of Chicago), that have sold Dinar to friends of mine. It took me a few weeks to hunt them down and many hours on the phone to weed out the ones that had no idea or said they couldn't get them. Here is the weird part.
The last bank we called said yes they could get Dinar, and it was a 2 day turn around, but we had better hurry if we wanted to order. I thought that was strange. This was early last week. Here we go........
Good day.

So we started the process, and then she got a funny look and said looks like we can't after all, that is strange cause we thought we could today. She called the manager and he took me to his office and couldn't find it in the system so he called his support number. It was on speaker and the lady was clearly flustered. She said they had literally THOUSANDS of calls today and wanted to know where I got my information after she verified my account. I explained that I got the info my an investment club friend on the internet. She asked me if I had the Website URL and I stated I didn't have it with me. She then gave me her personal FAX # and asked me to send her the info as soon as I could???? That sure ain't going to happen. But very confusing to say the least.
Thoughts?
I KNOW...I KNOW Tell her to just tell you the new rate and you will make all the calls go away?

Head of Stock Exchange Trustees demands for rapid activation of the investment law
13 November 2006 (Iraq Directory)
The non- activation of the Iraqi new investment law in terms of forming its management, supervising body, naming its members and starting their work, caused a great disappointment among investors in the Iraqi Stock Exchange, especially that vigorous efforts being made to update its performance: installing new equipment and supplies of electronic trading and organizing Stock Exchange halls, in preparation for the start of adopting this mechanism, which is exercised for the first time in Iraq.
Head of Iraqi Stock Exchange Trustees, Talib Attabataba'i, hopes that some factors which he considers crucial for the continuation of investors in this vital sector will help to employ their investments for the best. On top of these factors: the stability of the security situation.
He explained that "the investor in the Iraqi bourse faces the challenges and difficulties, arising from the deterioration of the security situation, with high spirit reflecting his view that the current situation is exceptional, and therefore it is necessary to keep on maintaining the performance of the bourse. This is evident from the general indicators, which confirms that the development in performance remains a salient feature in the march of the market".
Attabataba'i took last September as an example, and said that the number of shares traded during that month was 4.212 billion shares; that is, 527 million shares a session. In comparison to the number of shares traded last August which hit 720, the number of shares traded this month increased by 54.9% from the number in August. As for the volume of transaction in September, it hit 8.422 billion dinars; that is, 1.052 billion dinars a session, and compared to the volume of trading in August of 4.622 billion dinars, the volume of transactions for this month increased by 82.2%. As for the number of contracts executed in September, they increased by 2928 contracts from the previous month at a rate of 29.4%. He added that last month indicators show stability in prices and volume of transactions, despite the continuing impact of the security situation on the overall economic activity.
Attabataba'i said that the banking sector is almost the main engine of the market. This sector achieved, during the same period adopted in comparison above, the largest relative importance in terms of the number of shares traded and the volume of transactions which was 74 per cent and 78.8% respectively of the total after circulating more than 3.117 billion stocks at a circulation volume of more than 6.551 billion dinars.
The shares of Basra International Bank, which is preparing to hold its annual meeting in Arbil next Sunday, were the most circulated ones for this month since the ratio of the shares traded, was 34.1% and 26.8% respectively of the total, where more than 1.063 billion shares were circulated valued at more than 1.757 billion dinars in Basra Bank alone.

Info from CBI-----Awesome, I think we're close!
Info about BOA-----Why is everyone getting so worked up about this? Someone went into a BOA a long time ago and asked about Iraqi Dinar and some bank official who didn't Tim from Tom told them that BOA wouldn't buy/sell dinar unless it was on the market (probably just a generic statement) and now all of a sudden BOA buying/selling dinars is a certain indicator that the dinar is about to be traded because "BOA won't deal in it otherwise"---come on people..I don't think this means as much as everyone thinks it does.

Just passing it along. I went into Chase branch closet to me this morning, Sandy UT, to pick up my order. I had ordered on Fri 10th ½ mil of small. You have the option of; Large, Mixed Lg and Sm, or Small. So when the teller opened the delivery envelop I was disappointed to see only 25K notes. This event enabled me to glean some other information I thought you all would like to know. I could only get the 25K notes.
She (teller) proceeded to tell me she would call California, where it had come from, and ask for an explanation. Then, I asked her if by chance it was coming from B of A she said yes, but it was from there commercial or investment division, not the retail banking side. Discussing matters further I was told that Chase joined with JPMorgan about five years ago.
You may recall reading on the forums about Chase, Citi Group, JPMorgan and the Rothschild’s (identified as other interested parties) were the ones who start the movement of the New IQD into the international market. As I recall, this all started about 18 months ago. The IQD has ever since then been an international currency, just not circulated in the public sector. We did, however see a lot of NID moving into other banks, countries and Fed Reserve. So we were very hopeful at that time, as soon as the large stock pile were filled up, that we would start to see the NID transact in the public sector. (Just one of the many other high points of this very awesome roller coaster ride.)
Where we are today and starting with the Compass banks of the Texas area is a huge move forward. It finally appears the IQD is no longer a gamble but like “waiting for the other shoe to drop.”
Sorry, no links. Just my poor memory. If this belongs in another thread, please relocate.
