And
Let's not forget the loan program they gave themselves. It would be much easier to get a pink slip if you already know you are rich. Once again I think this is some of the predetermined steps taking place. Just space them out so there is no connection or corcern. JMO.

From Stephanie at IIF:
I would have posted earlier but experienced an Internet outage since I returned home this evening.
Sales of Iraqi Dinar did not start at our branch today, nor did anyone approach me or other tellers nearby requesting to purchase Iraqi Dinar (I had my ears open for those words). However while making a sale of a different currency I did check to see if IQD was listed and it was not. Another teller with whom I work and who is invested in dinar asked our supervisor why it was not listed as we were told in a policy meeting two weeks prior that it would and her exact words were "I don't know and it doesn't matter, sometimes things change, maybe tomorrow." I'm not counting on it, I've seen too many false start runners in this investment, (if I can still call it an investment). IMO It will happen when it happens, if it happens.
Anyhow there is the update to the question if BOA is selling or not. Since they are not and if this thread is kept open it should probably be moved back to rumors/speculation whence it came.
The dinar and our anticipation of a revaluation is an addiction that is certainly taking up too much of my time so I'm going to just leave the little bit of dinar I have held onto in my safe and when my child starts school in a few years I'll check it then. If it happens sooner I am sure we will all hear the news, including those who don't know about dinar. If something happens at my branch that is worth bringing to the forum I will be certain to bring it, after it's fact. Please do not PM me asking if I have updates as I do not have the time to answer individual PM's. God bless the mods, readers/posters who stay glued to this forum day after day for I know how hard it is to stay away but believe doing so is the wisest choice.
Good luck to all of you, now let me run for cover.May the New Year bring hope & prosperity to all Iraq and for all of us!
God bless our soldiers and bring them home safe.

B of A has been in the dinar importing business for quite some time. Over a year anyway that I know of. They service my local bank that has been selling/buying dinar for over a year. Someone I think it was (Sportlux) who claims he had been in the upper management of banking on that other forum had commented that my local bank could just be a pilot for the dinar. We had a lot of demand here as we have 5 military bases on this one island and many were coming back with IQD from Iraq so in order to service them they started buying/selling dinar. I have seen memos from the BofA on my teller's computer screen concerning the IQD as long as a year ago since they are the ones that service their foreign currency.
My thoughts are that B of A may not jump in all the way until the dinar is an internationally tradeable currency (more of a hot commodity)as it isn't worth their time, but they continue to service some of the banks that do and a few of their own branches may sell. Even my local branch which has 46 branches in this city alone doesn't get that many orders coming through for dinar even though you can order it at any one of those branches. The guy in their main branch foreign currency department told me that "once in awhile" they get an order coming through.
Update from my local bank as of today is that until they pull up a different exchange rate for the day they wouldn't get any advance word to stop selling IQD or special memos or otherwise that the rate will be different. Today's rate was:
Buy/.0006123 and Sell/.000772. Just thought I'd let ya know. Most of you don't know me as this is my 1st post on this forum. Susie knows me though.
Hi SS! I see you're very popular here.

Hi Adam,
Is the CBI report current or a reprint?
The following line from it makes me think it might be old...
2.In terms of public expenditure has increased paragraph salaries and wages has accelerated during the past two years to reach 60% of GDP-oil after the increase does not exceed 35% till the year 2004.
What say you?
Sotaliraq.com
Thanks,
Boo
ps. Belated Happy B-Day Susie

I think too much is being made of whether or not Bank of America is selling dinars. Do we really know that they have a set corporate policy that they won't deal in dinars until they are on forex? Or was that just an unsubstantiated rumor? Anyway, given the variety of response people have received today, who could ever really know what their policy is?
Personally, I think the analysis of the auctions that we have been treated to by Wm. Knowles is far more important than whether or not Bank of America is selling dinars now to individuals. His information is plenty enough to keep me excited!
