I like a good debate - thanks.
Since you mentioned it in your last post i'll bring it up again. I think 0.05 would help the inflation problem but is not enough to keep the neighbours happy. Having said that, after a "small" RV and a freely traded currency, investing in Iraq would still be a bargain, imports would be cheaper and market forces would continue to be at work.
I don't pretend to know for sure what they're planning but am ready for the rollar coaster ride of emotions.A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face... then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

I can't see that happening ever. They may pull them out of circulation but They must honor their worth if they are to have any credibility in the world market.
If I'm wrong the option then is to exchange your notes locally for lower iraqi denoms until you are ready to cash out. either way you won't lose.It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]
High RV is like Coke; it’s the real thing baby!

Iam not sure, but from what i could understand that they would take the 25 notes off the market when they wanted at what rate they wanted. Please forgive me if i am wrong i am just a common man who is just looking for a brighter future for his family and dont pretend to be some wise investor as a matter of fact i am just learning how to use a computer in case u couldnt tell.

A lot of us have 25K notes, in fact half my stash is in 25k's. I think we have to try and work out what they may be thinking, what is best for them, and what they are likely to do. I would like to try and bank my 25k notes in a bank outside of Iraq, say in Jordan......just in case this happens and they do recall on a low reval. I have a small amount in Warka but most of it is at home. I dont wish to burst anyones bubble here, but I can't see people walking around with 25K notes worth 25000 dollars. This is just my opinion.

Pulling them out of circulation is no different to recalling them on a low reval. they will honor their worth because they will have set the exchange rate.
You are right though, we will have the option to exchange them for lower denominations and we shouldnt lose out, but I do hope that the dinar can be exchanged everywhere by then, and that option will be easier to achieve because I don't think dinar dealers will want them back......
