I didnt mean my reply to be offensive its just that this gov. has at some point got to step up and respond like a gov.I believe everthing has already been decided and that we are all waitin on the gov. of Iraq wich has shown so far that they are not ready to take the responsibility that an independant gov. needs to take by doing what they need to do and doing it in a timely manner JMO[/QUOTE]
JMO you are right and it won't be long before a decesion will have to be made in regards to the (NSG) National Salvation Government take over.

Low reval!
Bankers probably know that a high percentage of cash holders in other countries will jump at even a low reval. After all, we're anything but sophisticated investors! The slick investors probably put their money in the ISX.
As Mr. Knowles points out - the banks will draw out the "suckers" for the smallest reval possible and edge up in tiny increments to starve out cash holders that really need the money.
Very likely, Mr. Knowles is quite well off and may in fact have sizable holdings in the ISX. His considerable knowledge puts him in the ranks of the educated elite - and any comments he makes are above questioning - except for the exercise of the intellect (so far as we can claim to posses it!)
Personally, I remain highly optimistic!

Great Post !!!!
You are bang on here cigarman When we all realise we are small fish, then the worry of a low reval will be over. Who actually believes an entire country is going to worry about several thousand people in possession of a couple million Dinars each? The Iraqi gov't is more concerned with a commitment from gov't's holding millions of US dollars worth of dinar. If they try and conive right down to small fry like us, than there currency will be worthless for many, many years. There only concern right now is the major players. Were just folks with Champane taste, on a beer budget, so to speak. JMHO

I woudn't think so. If the 25K notes were recalled; you could simply exchange them for smaller denoninations there by maintaining your investment. However, you might be forced to pay a transaction fee but that should be minimal. I don't know any of this for a fact, just my opinion.

To all our FreeDinar Customers,
There once again will not be a conference call this evening. We apologize for any inconvenience.
However, we will be sending out an email in a few hours with some of the latest news. Just a preview, the Central Bank of Iraq has issued a statement regarding increasing the value of the Dinar.
Depending on the circumstances we should have a conference call next week.
Thank you,
FreeDinar/Ompus Corporate Team

I also think we are leavig out the political part of this ,manny of the dems are threatening to withold further funding due to the lack of support for this war as well as the cost.If and i say if Iraq came with a reval that was fairly high it in my oppinion would buy some time and perhaps more support for this war.And yes i am aware of the pres. veto power but it certainly could not hurt as far as bringing something possitive to the table that the pres. could go to the american people and tell us we must stay the course
