    Old translation:

Justice / special source confirmed authorized in the Iraqi Central Bank that there is no intention at this time to change the Iraqi currency,

It is expected that the issuance of new categories to the transaction in accordance with the requirements of the Iraqi economy to meet the expenses of the state in the next stage.

With regard to the supervision of the local banking activity in Iraq by the Central Bank of Egypt and means of reform, The source pointed out that the Central Bank will supervise banking activity level by the activities of banks towards the enhancement of their role in the implementation of monetary policy in particular through channeling the savings to the various aspects of investment, so as to achieve economic growth.

He added : The Central Bank had granted banking licenses of many Arab and foreign banks, whether licensing NTSB open a branch in Iraq or the establishment of a banking entity, It was also the opening of representation offices.

This is the beginning of cooperation and openness to the world towards the revitalization of the economy in the country with the Iraqi Central Bank to sell the American dollar against the Iraqi dinar through a daily auction exhibit, since this auction is a tool for achieving stability in the value of the Iraqi dinar by defending the exchange rate stable for a long time. This, in turn, will affect the general level of prices?

    Newer translation:

The justice / a special confirmed an entrusted source in the Iraqi Central Bank forbid there is no intention nowadays for changing the Iraqi currency,

And it is expected that issuing new categories takes place to the discussion following the requirements of the Iraqi economy for the confrontation of the country expenses in the next stage .

And concerning the supervision of the local bank activity in Iraq from the central bank and its reform, the source pointed that the central bank carries out the supervision of the local bank activity through the connection by the banks activities towards the consolidation of its role in the execution of a monetary policy specially through directing the savings towards various investment faces and by what achieves the economic growth .

And he added : that the central bank has granted bank licences to many of the Arab banks and the foreign ones whether was the licence is including the establishment of a branch of it in Iraq or the establishment of a bank entity, also the establishment of representation bureaus took place, and it is prepared.

This the beginning of cooperation and openness towards the world towards the activation of the economy movement in the country while the bank continues the Iraqi central carrying out of selling the American dollar against the Iraqi dinar through the daily auction that is established in it, since this auction is considered a tool for the achievement of stability in the Iraqi dinar value by the defense of exchange price a dwelling for a long time, which is reflected in the general level is to the prices!

    Any thoughts?

Daydream, I really think they are talking about the lower denominations.

No change in currency, so no reprint/lop, that means same currency. We know that there are 14 pieces and 9 in circulation. So there are 5 more left. We also read about the serial from the A.

They are talking about the next stage. That is in my opinion the stage that the Iraqi can control their own money and there was a RV. That is when you need this notes. At the current rate you don't need these notes.

If they are talking about the lower denominations we are very very close.

Too bad for us that they don't tell it right away.

Well, personally, I cannot express enough my appreciation for Mr. Knowles' posts.
After being let down by various emotionally-charged predictions, Mr. Knowles (should it be Dr. Knowles??) has restored my faith in the reality of a future re-val. His level-headed and enlightening information is just what I needed.

Then you said they could raise their .05 peg in tiny increments to flush out dinar holders that really needed the money. They could re-peg the dinar at any time to continue to buy-up dinar at the lowest possible price!

It's no small task to try and bring back the enthusiasm we all felt with Suzie and Adster's high reval predictions - when you take your years of banking experience combine it with your new found adoration from forum members and use that as a spring-board to achieve your ultimate goal - BURST THE BUBBLE OF HIGH REVAL BELIEVERS (under the pretext of just sharing opinions)!

I'm not saying it's impossible - but it will take time to get the excitement back that we all felt before you cleverly nuked us with THE LOW REVAL BOMB!

I suppose your indirect appologies may help - but so far they seem less than believable!

    Personally, I remain highly optimistic!
It was just a opinion ! You dont believe everything you read right ? So this one of those times you take that thought into consideration ! move on ......

I would be surprised if the NID were not on Forex immediately after a reval. If it is then one of the best places (best rates) would be Custom House Global Foreign Exchange. It is headquartered in Victoria, BC, Canada but operates in about 7 or 8 countries. I have used them to exchange a few million USD and they told me they would exchange NID as soon as it is on Forex. My only suggestion would be that somewhere in the middle is the answer in all of this, and we all can take or leave ANY post ANYone makes. We can choose to use the information, or not. We're all entitled to our own opinions here, but we're not entitled to attack anyone else. Too many people have forgotten that on this forum in the past 24 hours.

I'm all for enthusiasm and positive thinking, but let's not ignore reality and the facts as they are playing out.

I for one value BOTH Susie's and Wm. Knowles' posts. Wm. did not burst my bubble, nor nuke my dreams. I try to stay as level headed about this ride as I can possibly be, and I would suggest that all of those who are wearing their emotions on their sleeves take a step back and take a deep breath.

For me, the answer lies somewhere in between SGS and Wm. K.

I am sure IIF would welcome all this bickering and childishness. Most all of us don't.

Any problem with crossing the border to do that? I am in Washington and can see Victoria from my window. So you exchange it there, you then get Canadian and then you bring that back and then covert it to USD. Or can you exchange it into USD there?

I am not experienced at all with foreign currency.

Ok now we do not want a repeat of last night!

If you have a problem with someone take it to PM's, it does not belong on the board. The admins have way to much to deal with without all these frivalous posts. They also totally disurpt the forum. Do not respond to these posts no matter what your personal feelings are, it just insites more posting.

If you see something that looks like a personal attack REPORT the post to a Mod or admin, just click the button up in the corner.

You think someone is not who they claim to be pm a mod with the details and they will handle it from there.

Don't like to read someones posts just click the ignore button and it is all taken care of, you will not see what they post anymore.

RESPECT THE FORUM, THE MODS AND ADMINS, AND ALSO YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS.
