The downtown branch on Main Street. He had gone to a branch that is near the Sam's I believe, because he knew he could park the truck there. He went in and they told him that they didn't have it. They didn't even offer to order it for him. Told him he could go to the main branch and they would order it. Since he had to take a cab there, I called to make sure that they would order it. When the woman said they have it to sell, I nearly fell off my seat! It saved him from sitting there till Monday!

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Had to delete as I didn't know I was logged in under husband's screen name. Here is the repost under my name.
Called my local bank here in Honolulu which B of A services their foreign currency and they are still selling. Rate today is same as last week .000772 sell/.000614 buy. I asked him how they would verify my bills if and when I wanted to exchange my dinar for dollars and he said they would just match it to the book. I told him my concerns about my money leaving my hands without officially being verified/authenticated by machine/light or whatever it is they will ultimately use to verify the IQD and he said his manager would call me. I had told him I would like to request they obtain whatever device they need to verify the authenticity of the IQD and I would want that done at the time of exchanging into dollars. He understood and again, said that he would have the international banking manager call me. I'll let you know what he says when/if I hear from him. If not, I will certaintly follow up as this is a concern I have should the rate be substantial. I don't want anyone coming back after the fact when they've sent the bills to B of A who services them and I receive a call telling me they weren't authentic (counterfieits) and I'm out millions of dollars. Not being paraniod, just preparing for the big day. I can not drive anywhere to authenticate as I live on an island and would have to fly or mail my dinar and meet it wherever I send it. Still too risky for me. Thanks for listening. Any thoughts?Last edited by DinarLady; 18-11-2006 at 12:44 AM.

Mahalo and Aloha Kahai,
First of all, Pau Hana!! Now, don't worry about the Dinar exchange after the R/V or opening on the curency market. I will walk you through, again, don't worry my friend. You know how it is when you ask any bank/state employees anything important or specific: Time for Kau Kau!!

Just FYI, I called chase bank in Tulsa Ok. (because we don't have one in K.C. MO.) and asked them if they would exchange foreign currency and was told yes ONLY if I had account with them and if not I would have to have one for a year before they would exchange it,
I asked them if this was always their policy and was told no it was just changed recently to this. I don't know what they say at other branches but this gentleman said it was now a Chase policy.
