I don't think it matters who are currently buying/selling. We know once they reval that more and more banks will exchange the dinar. It's big money for them, with huge profit margin. They will all want a piece of the pie.
We just need to see more articles regarding smaller denoms, a sure sign of what's to come.
Off to bed, cream crackered, (knackered). Nite all.

Chase Bank no longer selling Dinar in Denver
FYI
Just called my neighborhood Chase Bank where I've bought several times and they said they no longer sell IQD.
I then called the Main Branch in Downtown Denver and the IQD is no longer listed in their system....The gal could find the Kuwait Dinar on the screen but..poof..the IQD is gone.

Re: For Canadians
OK, heres the skinny. My bank manager called back today and left me feeling very hopeful.
For the Canadians...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I sent a fax to my branch of the CIBC. It is a small branch and I asked some very pointed questions.
1. Are you still selling Dinars? No, have not been for a couple of weeks.
2. Have you recieved any Information in regards to a reval? I have heard it is suppose to go up in value, but I do not know when or how much.
3. What would I expect to be the normal spread on a currency exchange? Depending on the amount were talking about, and if were talking about your dinars, around 1/4 %
4. If currency needed to be verified, how and the length of time before I
see a deposit in my account? About 2-4 working days
5. Is the spread negotiable, and what would I have to do or expect for a
zero spread. She is well aware of how much I have. Head office has not replied to that, but in my professioal opinion, everything can be negotiated.
She called me and said it may take a day, two tops, but would answer all my questions, if allowed.
Hopefully, I can post her response tomorrow night.
Gloribee.
Well, now I had wished I had asked more questions, but she is a friend and do not want to push my luck. I may need more Information later on.
She also said they are set up to purchase dinars, even at this depressed price.
Hope this helps. I know I got excited.

I called the foreign exchange at BOA.. I recorded the conversation to make sure I got it straight... I told him that I have an account with BOA and that I have some Iraqi Dinars and wanted to exchange them...He said that we don't handle them.. I said..when will you start handling them.. He replied.. in the "near" future, we don't have a date yet..I said.. when that date comes, what would I need to do..He said take them to any BOA branch and they will convert them and deposit them into your account.

Anything similar, Ever????????????/
We have all been waiting and waiting, some much longer than others for this to come to fruition.
Let me ask all of you this. Have ANY of you EVER gone through anything even remotely similar to this with any other foreign currency? Is this a "normal" thing when currencies are prepping to become globally traded? I've not been waiting nearly as long as most of you, but ya know - with all the
. announcements . meetings .rumors .suggestions .old dates, new dates, bad dates, good dates .wooting and dancing and screaming and crying
Is this stuff normal? Obviously not for a lot of us, but am wondering that with the world changing constantly, new countries in the middle east, in Africa, etc etc, Is this stuff normal??

Not waiting for Washington, Marines in Iraq already expanding adviser teams
CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq What was a recommendation during a Senate hearing this week from the top U-S commander in the Middle East is already in practice in Fallujah and elsewhere.
Marine Colonel Larry Nicholson says he's been able to shift some Marines and soldiers out of combat positions and onto teams advising Iraqi army units.
Central Command chief John Abizaid (AB'-ih-zayd) told senators this week he'd like to expand the teams but isn't sure it can be done without upping the overall U-S troop level in Iraq.
Nicholson told reporters at the Pentagon today via videoconference from Fallujah that he hasn't needed more forces. He says his "principal mission" is developing Iraqi security forces, and this is the best way to do it.
The adviser teams coach Iraqis on how to pull off combat missions and avoid problems like corruption.
