That PDF is scanned images, that is why you cannot select text.

I use a program called PDF Ripper which pulls all the text from most PDF's except those of images.

Another useful free tool for this purpose is http://www.adobe.com/products/acroba...linetools.html as long as it's not an image PDF

This question would be for Adster, RR, Mike, Susie, or anyone else that has this information. Are there international banks outside of Iraq, in fact, outside of the Middle East that have bank type accounts where we can deposit dinar and keep the currency as the dinar?

So that as the dinar value rises, we can take advantage of an increase in value without exchanging to another bankable currency.

For example would Barclays Bank in London or Credit Suisse in Zurich allow us to deposit dinar without exchanging? I would like to hear some opinions on this.

My hope is that with an account established in the millions of dinar, a certificate of deposit (108) could be issued as a financial instrument.
    Comments anybody?

I beleive there is a limit to how much foriegn currency you can travel with.
Customs will ask you at the airport if you are traveling with more than you are allowed. If you lie - remember the Magnetic securicy strips embedded into the IQD. Well those may just trigger the X-ray in baggage or set off the metal detector. You may find yourself in line for a baggage check - possible Cavity search and definate confiscation of your IQD! NOT a good thing to do. So unless you live in one of these countries- best to call around and do your own research on this one. JMHO

PS I have aske Chase if they would hold the IQD in an account they said " No we dont hold those kinds of accounts" they suggested that I contact an international bank - they did not have any suggestions on which banks.
when this all goes down for real - we will have banks jumping out at us.

Nah, it's not copy protected, it's a scanned document - a picture. I saved it as a word doc but that doesn't help. I have a program that converts such things to text, but it doesn't speak Arabic. Sigh.

Hey Ya'll there is a post in the rumor tread that claims to have this document translated. I posted it below.

    Notice
    Central Bank of Iraq
    Iraq

    "Highlights of Page One"
    To whom it may concern

Iraqi Monetary Funds Are Reliable On These Following Conditions
    1. Economic Stability
    2. Crude Oil Export Utilization
    3. Transportation in/ out of country
    4. Communication Sector

A total increase of 50% is seen in the above said sectors up to the period of July 2006.

"Highlights from page 2 and 3"

Stability of iraqi monetary funds is totally dependent on current prevailing conditions such as economic/ trade/ communication/ private sector. And the government and Central Bank of Iraq are closely monitoring all these situations. And try to maintain a best suitable condition to keep it stable to avoid fluctuations, inflation etc.

Still it is a risk factor joined with the face value of the iraqi money with other major world currencies, and will be dependent on oil/ government spending etc; Major transactions reflects dollars as a currency to compare for gain/ loss.

    "Page 4 Highlights"
Conclusion from the Central Bank of Iraq to keep a stable condition of iraqi dinar given that all the above said conditions show signs of progress and they hope so in the near future.
    -[B]END-

Sorry if it is difficult to follow. English is not my translators first language. I look forward to everyone's opinions.

Time to lock down Iraq, let the three groups go at it and to the Victor gets the spoils . . .wait that wont work either.

Can you lock the three leaders up in a room with me for a short while???
Maybe they need to sit in a circle in a smoky basement for awhile like on That 70's Show!!!!
