Presently it is the accepted currency of Iraq, they may change it later on, but at the moment it is not temporary IMO. The currency that Iraq use have a great deal of anti counterfeit qualities and were produced by a top currency company... De La Rue. As progress is made in Iraq I am sure that the currency will change gradually but no worries at the moment. IMO I think Iraq have far too many other problems to worry about than these delightful little banknotes...

I agree with you.

A new currency will not be accepted by the iraqi people right now and I also think the donor countries, IMF and World Bank won't accept a new currency.

So where is the evidence that it even is a temporary currency? Yeah it may be temporary until the middle east makes a multi country currency in 2010-2012, but with Iraq basically one of if not the most valuable country in the world, I could imagine 1:1 being a "little bit" compared to what it's gonna be.
