My sentiments exactly. There's no doubt in my mind that the US is commited to asuring the success of Iraq and its people. It is whats best for the US and the world. No matter who becomes the next US President, the US will continue to support what they started in Iraq. This all will take time and I think stability and commerce will gradually progress and as it does the dinar will rise in value. It will trade up and down just like all the rest of the world currencies do.

The thing for me is, I both need a long term retirement supplement and a short term shot in the arm... like yesterday with the shot in the arm.

What you have done here is lop zeros from both the exchange rate and the note.. they will only lop from the exchage rate.. i.e.

today it is

1 NID = .000685 USD

and after lopping 2 zeros.. it would be

1 NID = .0685 USD

The million is still a million time .0685 = $68,500 USD

I've personally pulled some amazing things from my arse but the best thing I ever extracted from there was my head. LOL!!!

Just kidding around. I think you may be on to something with the idea of those in the know, the ones making the rules, cashing in their personal holdings. I'm sure that who ever they are, they will manipulate events to their advantage regardless of who it helps or who it hurts.

As for the US foreign policy, that will never change. They will always do what ever seems best for the US and I can't see how their pulling out of Iraq could possibly help them in the long run. Of course, I'm no authority on foriegn policy, just something I pulled from me arse. LOL!!

I'm hoping to be able to cash in right away a portion of my holdings for a quick boost in the arm finacially and hold onto the rest for the long haul. Who knows, maybe I will use some of my dinar ownership to write coverd calls in the open market when they begin to trade there.

Interesting thing about coin tossing. When I was in the 8th grade we used to play a game we called "odd or even" where two guys head to head would flip their coin in the air to catch and slam quickly on top of their own wrist. Then, one would call it odd or even. If the caller was correct, he got the other guys coin, if incorrect, he gave up his coin to the other guy. They took turns being the caller. Anyway, I was very good at this game, winning better than 8o% of the time even when the other guy was the caller I won most of the time. My strategy was simple. As we stood there with our hands covering our wrist, I would just close me eyes and wait for odd or even to come to my mind and which ever came in the strongest is what I called and when the other guy was the caller I thought about winning. This worked so well that I was beginning to think that I was psychic, that is until the other guy found a way to cheat and I began to lose over and over and over again. Then I new something was not right. I never thought about the other guy being a low life egg sucking dog but it was a good life lesson. losers will find away to cheat if you play with them too long.

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. Now what's this about the US Dollar being on the way out?
