Your highlight in red states the opposite of what the line reads.

So how does this make sense?

that line means selling dinar to the dollar at this rate, NOT literally sellng dinar. hence why its written dinar/US. if they sell dollars how do they write the rate if not like this? this is how many dinar we are trading for this many usd.

they pump oil out of the ground at HUGE rates and that oil is priced in DOLLARS. they sell oil for DOLLARS. that would give them one heck of a surplus of DOLLARS. they dont want that surplus of DOLLARS so they SELL EM AT AUCTION. and to determine what they get paid for it they correlate the dollar amount of the dinar.

Yes they do! But they have no choice, The dinar is not traded internationaly so all imported goods are paid for in dollars, thats why the local banks need the dollars.

Thanks for the link...I have looked at these notes in the report and find similarities to the old notes, but looking at detail they don't look to be the same. Does anyone else think these could be the new notes? I know the pics are dark, but certain details like the font and when lining up the images it's just not adding up. Any thoughts?

also look at you 10k notes, they look very similar to the 10 with a few more zeros, truth is nobody knows for sure, but why would it be impossible for the to be reused, or improved upon with the new security features, though I doubt they would use 2 different denoms with the same picture, however it has been speculated that the large bills will be pulled from circulation

the pictures are all old notes pre-saddam circa. i listed on my post the exact technical number of each note showing and when they were released. two of the notes were uncirculated.
