No, not a zero lop at all, but the moving of the decimal place 3 points. 1470=1.470 or there abouts.

Have a look in the archives and you will find pages and pages showing why a zero lop is not possible.

Where is a zero lop?

Right now 1000 dinars is worth about 69 cents when they get to 1000 dinar to $1.00 it will be worth $1.00 no zero lop just price adjustment and a huge one for the Iraqis. How would we all feel if our dollar increased almost 33% in one month?

Thanks, I can live with $1.47.

The MoF tried to lop zeros and is now an ex minister. The powers that be would not allow a lop. Simple as that, it would be breaking IMF regulations for one.

Not going to happen, no way jose. Achieves nothing and doesn't beat inflation. A lop would mean a reprint, about as likely as Saddam being put back in charge.

Lowest denom at 1000 to $1.00 USD would be 25 Dinar equal to 2.5 cents USD. Fil would need to be placed at the penny point so when you are to receive change from a purchase of say $9.99 USD you nor the dealer are giving up the 1.5 cents and both are buying and selling at it's fair value without that 1.5 cent loss.

I know this is not what we want but this is looking like the most likely event.

Exactly.

A zero lop isn't increasing the purchasing power of the Iraqi people which is a goal of the CBI.

Don't forget the statements raising the exchange rate to neighbour countries!

So how is it 7-11 is losing, I don't follow this reasoning at all? I think Citgo is feeling the backlash from American consumer, and with news about 7-11 choosing another supplier, it was obvious many saw this and supported it, so please explain how you think 7-11 is losing anything?
