Wasn't there a DATE that Iraq wanted to be a member of the WTO by? It's just that I would 'think' that the country (Iraq) would have to have their currency globally convertible for a certain length of time BEFORE becoming a member of the WTO...just my thoughts...

Not sure about a date Tiff, my take is asap, it's in their interests to be back in the folds of the world. And yes you're right, wouldn't do any harm for them to be convertible before then.

My take is with the announcement of a convertible currency n the State Department's site, which has made my week! that we'll see movement on the forex markets very soon.
