You wouldn't want to rush a multi-TRILLION dollar (dinar) deal. I've posted it before...We are bbbbbiiiigggg step from yesterday and another leap toward a reval. If you take the current inflation rate which is 70% and you take that times the current rate 1444 dinars you come up with 1010 dinars. That leaves 434 dinars after inflation is accounted for. That is at least where they need to be to curb inflation.

I think we are really really close....I am anxious to see how much dinar they are able to pull in tonight on the auction...Last night they only pulled in 11.435.000 with 11 banks. This is the lowest amount so far with next to the lowest banks participating. Meaning lowest bank participation in the last 13 auctions was 10 banks on 11/12/06. Seems like the banks are drying up......and it doesn't look like they can continue pulling substantial amounts until December 12th so I look for a reval in NOVEMBER. Hopefully tonights auction #14 since I have been keeping a running tally will be the last before the big reval.

There were indications of just that, and as long as Saddam's mug isn't on note, it will be used. The 5 dinar has two versions as I recall, one with his mug, and one without, so it would make sense to reintroduce these notes, and this may be why we do not hear much about these notes.

yes, i believe those were the 5's i indicated on that picture. and the 1's and 10's that were pictured are UNCIRCULATED bills.
