Seems like the banks are drying up......and it doesn't look like they can continue pulling substantial amounts until December 12th so I look for a reval in NOVEMBER. Hopefully tonights auction #14 since I have been keeping a running tally will be the last before the big reval.

I sure would like WmKnowles opinion about this seemingly very low amount being pulled out of circulation yesterday with fewer banks participating. They couldn't be running out of dinars already...OR could they??? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!

Just got back to the office and got caught up on the past threads. Looks like some movement here. I'm getting a little excited , I think this thing could be picking up some steam. The only thing that concerns me at this point is "when is it going on the Forex"??? The banks in my area will only handle dinar after it is on the market. If it busted out at a $1.50 tomorrow and is not on forex the local banks won't touch it. A trip to Iraq to cash in sounds easy......but would you make it back????

CNN was reporting that New York will be under massive inflation tomorrow.
Too bad Iraq's inflation isn't caused by some air filled Macy day parade balloons.

Happy T-Day to all of you RolClub folks, I hope you all have a great day with your families and maybe after tomorrows auction we will have something additional to be thankful for.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

It's hard to justify these two extremes in Iraq.

Nortel And Redline To Build Telecom Infrastructure In Iraq

The two Canadian companies got contracts to build a nationwide optical backbone and to deploy a WiMax network.

Two Canada-based companies reported this week that they have received contracts to build telecommunications infrastructure in war-torn Iraq. Nortel said it received a $20 million contract to build a nationwide optical backbone, while Redline Communications said its equipment will be used to deploy a WiMax network.

A spokesman for Nortel said Wednesday that work on the optical network is scheduled to get underway in the first quarter of 2007. The Nortel contract was awarded in a pubic competition by the Iraq Telecommunications & Post Corporation, which is Iraq's sole fixed-line operator. ....

..."This national project is vitally important to the many telecommunications projects underway that will help rebuild the capabilities of the Iraqi society and economy," said H. E. Mohamed Allawi, Iraqi Minister of Communications, in a statement.

The Nortel network will cover 35 major cities across 5000 kilometers.

Redline said it was selected by telecom operator IraqTel to deploy a WiMax network. The network will offer advanced voice and broadband services. Redline did not respond to phone calls and e-mails seeking additional information on the contract.

In spite of the growing violence in Iraq and the challenge of providing security, telecomm infrastructure has gradually been improving. Last summer, the U.S. State Department said there w....

BAGHDAD, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Summer was bad. Winter will be worse. Since freezing temperatures last descended on Iraq, close to half a million people have fled sectarian violence for other parts of the country, the United Nations said on Wednesday.

"We have no electricity here and no running water," said Abdul Hussein Sachid, a tribal elder in traditional robes as he sat on a rug sipping tea outside the makeshift shack that has been home to his family of 23 for the past few months.

"We cannot live like this any longer," he said, squatting amid the dust and flies of a new camp run by a Shi'ite charity led by radical cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on the edge of Baghdad.

"Something must be done to help us rebuild our lives," said Sachid, one of some 7,000 fellow Shi'ites in camps in the area who fled the town of Haswa, south of the capital, when bands of Sunni gunmen began attacking homes there some months ago.

Violent civilian deaths hit a record high of 120 a day, according to a bi-monthly U.N. human rights report published on Wednesday. It is such violence that is driving the refugees.

After one of his sons was kidnapped and killed, Sachid left the home he owned and sold his car to buy corrugated iron and bricks to build the three-room hut that now houses himself, two sons, their wives and children. With night-time temperatures already chilly, he says there is no prospect of their returning.....
I have much to be thankful..God has been good to me..happy thanksgiving to all of you..

Oof--just got caught up on the posts...

Okay folks...after living through the rumor craziness at IIF I'm pretty sour on RUMORS. 100 to 1 by 1/15/07...just sounds fishy to me...bs flags raised by his trip, his many sources and friends at the state department...sounds to me like he's trying hard for credibility.

Would I feel better about this if the amount was higher? To be honest, yeah probably. There is a lot of CONCRETE news out there...so for the new folks out there, listen to the rumors...bank on the FACTS!

THERE IS SOO MUCH GOOD NEWS COMING IN DAILY! THE RUMORS MAY COME AND GO BUT REMEMBER--THE FACTS WON'T LIE.
