Oman, one of the six nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, this month cast doubt on whether the bloc would be able to meet the deadline because of delays in implementing a customs union that was supposed to have been completed at the end of last year.
“We support 2010 but it might be that there are some difficulties,” Sheikh Ebrahim said. “We will have to see how we deal with that,” he said.
The difficulties include “a number of things, like time, schedules and adjustments,” Sheikh Ebrahim said on the sidelines of a conference here. He decline to be more specific.
