What ever happened to the story, theory, rumor or whatever it was about a month ago that the US army or army rangers were guarding Iraqi banks in Bagdad? I thought that some one had confirmed it but it obviously not true.

Good point,

There was increased security all around Baghdad at that time, and it was reported that the street the CBI was located on was blocked off, so the speculation of increased security in area may have looked like a point where it would coincide with revalue, but sadly, it wasn't. Who knows, they may have been moving in small denoms at the time, but like normal, we all draw tidbits here and there and try to make logical sense out of it, but it all is speculation in the end, so time will tell.

I know we took a kick today. But lets think about it the only reason the violence in the last couple of days have be high and brutal is because the insurgents know that CBI and Iraq are close to opening there doors which will bring major positive change. I think we all know one of the best ways to decrease violence is to stay strong and build strength in the economy. We all know and the investors know that Iraq is a dangerous place. But remember that they are seeing $ signs. Your not going to stop the violence unless you take action and not let it rule your actions and plans for the future or the bad guys win.

This will have some reprehensions but I do not think it will affect the RV JMO.

I wouldn't worry about the violence affecting the revalue....this is nothing new and the investors know this. The violence will never outweigh the greed for money and as long as they are sitting on a sea of oil the violence is not going to make a difference. Money will win out hands down every time (sadly enough).

I agree completely about violence/rv, my concern is the amount of Dinars that have been stolen. There have been some HUGE thefts of dinar. I know that in the states every serial # of every bill is recorded and we probably have some way to flag these kinds of thefts, but is Iraq that tech advanced.
