A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face... then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

Interesting,
As Adam and others have already added, this is an opinion, and one from who I don't recognize as being anyone important. Was doing a search and came up with nothing notable on writer, so what is it really, an opinion.
Granted, we all know inflation is a killer, in many ways, as the poor are the ones impacted the most, as well as the ones who are sacrificing their lives for money to leave their families, so everything we see happening is due to severe poverty which is being allowed to get worse by leaders.
Sooner or later they will figure it all out, but given the 42% illiterate rate, which carried over into the cabinet and parliament, the problem has not been realized yet, so unless they fill the leaders positions with people who have an education, we will continue to see what we have over the past months, little improvement.
We all understand inflation, and the main reasons behind it are. Number one, corruption in government. Number two, black market. Number three, shortages of fuel and last, and most important, the current value of dinar. On all fronts we have seen many articles written about issues, but again, little progress.
Clear out the traitors and corrupt politicians is the first thing, not just talk about it. Go after the black marketers, which appears to be caused by the same corrupt gov. officials for the most part, so it looks like this could be solved easily by cleaning house in parliament. With this done, the efforts should be to get internal fuel supplies up, and with less being sold on black market, this could be another issue resolved by ending corruption. As you can see, we have it all figured out, yet the Iraqi's don't. It again goes back to gov. as the biggest problem in my opinion.
As I see it, those on this forum could solve problems far better than the Iraqi's can. It just defies logic, and as we have seen, Iraqi's are lacking in this area as nothing seems to be logically resolved over there. We see that military power doesn't work, yet we see the same BS over and over, curfews, bombings, counter attacks, curfews, and the cycle keeps repeating itself over and over again with no progress.
We have all come to the same conclusion in recent months, attack corruption, attack poverty, spread the wealth around now, and stop talking about it. Iraqi's appear to have to test public response on every important issue, and this is why we see opinions published, or leaked to press. I feel this is another ecxample with this writer about 1000 revalue. Just as the lop issue was leaked, it was designed to illicit opinions and feedback to assist these useless parliament members in a decision on what to do next. Then, and only then do they move forward, ever so slowly, it drives most of us crazy.
Bottom line, they have to fight the violence with money, not weapons. End the poverty, end the violence. We know the shiites and sunies have been at each others throats for thousands of years, so killings will never end, but the senseless killing will. As I see it, this is probably 95% of why most of these killings happen, extreme poverty, which spawns more violence due to no hope of any change by most. Remember, most effected the hardest are illiterate, so when they see only higher prices, this spawns more violence. Frustrations are running high all because of economy.
As all of us who value logics know, a revalue of significance would solve these immediate issues and would be the building block to solving all the violence, and I don't feel 1000 is going to do anything, just as all the other economic moves have not helped one bit. We saw interest rates rise to 12%, it did nothing. We saw the dinar rise in value, yet inflation went up further, so this too is not working, so who here thinks 1000 will make any difference without the other issues resolved first? It is just too logical for Iraqi's to grasp, unless you are a Kurd, these people are light years ahead of Baghdad deadheads, and hopefully more Kurd's will be impowered in positions of gov. as these shiites quit, as threatened, and replaced, and hopefully Maliki is one of them. (g) Hang in there, sooner or later they will figure it all out, perhaps they can read our forum to learn what they need to do. LOL
Good luck to all, Mike

Nice one Mike and so true.
Good to be back, thanks for all the kind wishes, certainly be no 'saddling' up for a couple of weeks, LOL. Already planned the weeks films out on the cable channels!!! And no hoovering, what a shame!!!
Thanks for looking after Mrs A too, she was quite overwhelmed by what a great bunch you all are. Sure she'll be geting her own log in details soon!
So aside the rate dropping/increasing, any other news? Wouldn't take too much of the above article to heart, how many 'opinions' have we read over the year/18 months?!
Shows me they are putting the idea more and more out there so it won't be such a surprise to their country and people when they actually do it.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

DM: I thought the same thing as soon as I saw it...There is hope - Is it just possible that 99 and 44 one hundredth's of the world population really does want peace? So, we're actually viewing history in the making as to how much we'll all tolerate before we all stand up and shout "Enough, awready! Make nice wid one another!"
Motto: I'm a little acorn nut. Life Goal: To become a mighty oak.
We're on roll now! Then again, so is Charmin!

The foreign ministers of the Iraqi neighboring states to meet in Cairo next month
CAIRO - (Voices of Iraq)
She said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry today, Sunday, that the foreign ministers of the Iraqi neighboring states would hold a meeting at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on the 5th of the month of December next December.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement "the importance of the emergence of this meeting Arab position is clear from events in Iraq, emphasized solidarity with the people and government of Iraq and the rejection of all forms of violence and rejection of intolerance and sectarianism."
The meeting was held after the American attempts to get the neighboring countries to help in calming the violence in Iraq and suggestions that the United States begin a dialogue with Syria and Iran on Iraq.
He visited Vice-President Dick Cheney American Saudi Arabia on Saturday and held talks with the Saudi monarch, King Abdullah. He also visited Iraq last Thursday.
The meeting of Iraq's neighbors was the first since the meeting in Tehran in July July, which included the foreign ministers of Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Turkey.
